My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm awesome! Why, you ask? I'm unique, observative, clever,
intelligent, creative... blah blah blah. That's enough narcissism
for my taste. =P
On top of what you'll read below, here are a few things that define
me in a nutshell. I'm a city boy, but I love to escape the city to
go camping, hiking, etc. I love electronics, gaming, home theater,
computing, cell phones, you name it. I'm a drummer, and although
it's been years and years since I've picked up a pair of sticks for
anything but Rock Band, that makes me a rarity; a white boy with
rhythm. I love music, and although I was practically raised on it,
I'm not much of a fan of country. That said, I do enjoy classical,
jazz, opera, etc. I sketch, write poetry, photograph, enjoy plays
and musicals, and all-around have an artistic side. In a bit of a
juxtaposition, I love watching UFC/Pride fights, the NFL, the NBA
and just about every Fox TV show ever made.
I'm on this site looking for a few things. First, and most
importantly, this site is pretty fun. There is a remarkable
cross-section of society on here, and it's pretty intriguing to
poke through the profiles, forums, questions, etc. to see who's out
there. Pay a little attention next time you're cruising profiles on
here. Four out of every five people are either already, or studying
to become, an engineer, teacher, chemist, programmer, nurse, or
some other cream-of-the-crop career choice. People eloquently
portray their points of view on the forums, for the most part,
which if you've ever been to another online forum is an impressive
feat. Secondly, I'm simply looking for a girl who I can be happy
with. Easy, right? =P
The most important things in my life are my friends and family
without question. I was raised by a very capable single mother. I
attribute just about everything that I have to her and my
grandparents, but beyond them my family is very small.
Alternatively, my group of friends is quite numerous, and it's with
them that I have all of my fun. I love each and every one of them,
and really consider them all family. Depending on the day you'll
find any number of us playing basketball, raquetball, volleyball, football, swimming, bowling, hitting the bars, singing
kareoke, clubbing, raving (as of late), hitting up concerts,
moshing, and plenty of other things. I'll try pretty much anything
once, and have a fairly eclectic taste with regards to
entertainment.
Past all of that, I'm definately a nerd, and am persuing a degree
in computer systems engineering, and I work on computers for a
living. I'm one of those people who is really quiet and reserved
when I first meet someone, but I open up after a bit. I'm a
people-watcher... sue me. :P And, I tend to fall into the sarcastic
category, but I do everything I can to keep from being cruel with
it...maybe.
I'm probably equally as introverted as I am extroverted. Like I
said I'm shy at first, but once I get comfortable you'd have a hard
time believing that I was ever the shy or quiet guy. My mind never
shuts off or slows down. I probably overthink just about everything
I ever encounter, but I have fun doing it. That's one of the
reasons I don't do drugs. I'm told that E, weed and a few others
make your brain work in overdrive, and I'm afraid that if that
happens I will explode. I truly love observing people, without
judging them, but not in any creepy man-behind-the-curtains kind of
way. I love all of the differences that people have and think that
in any group, in any situation, that diversity makes you
stronger.
*Note* My screen name on here happens to be my name on AIM. So, if
you want to talk and happen to catch me during one of the rare
occurances that I'm logged on, feel free to shoot a message my way.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Like I mentioned above, I'm going to ASU for a CSE degree. I'm
working full time, coincidentally, fixing computers. Otherwise, I'm
just having as much fun as I can! I'm also going to the gym to trim
down, since I'm far more plump than suits my liking.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Fixing computers, I suppose. Other than that, you'd have to ask
people who know me. I'm also really good at some types of video
games, as would be expected of any computer nerd.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
My height, since I'm relatively tall I suppose. And my eyes, or so
I'm told.
I'm also told that from afar I look pretty intimidating, which is,
I suppose, both alright and pretty crappy at the same time. I think
it's partly due to this that I've never been in a fight, and
usually when I'm out with my female friends the sleezeball dudes
stay away from them. So, I'm pretty thankful for that. However,
people who I don't want to scare away, well, they tend to get
scared away. It's ironic, because I probably have one of the least
intimidating personalities you'll ever find.

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
Anything and everything, to a fault sometimes. I guess I'm mostly
considering people, and what drives them. Usually it's fairly
particular, I suppose. But I can bounce from thinking about my
favorite song to lava lamps to a friend I haven't seen in a few
weeks in mere seconds!
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
With friends or working. We usually play volleyball on friday
nights. If you fancy yourself a player and want to play with some
newbie-intermediate players, let me know!
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I'll tell you ANYTHING, just ask. That is, of course, I have the
answer to your question. And before you ask, no, I don't know the
meaning of life. :P
You should message me if Propose an edit
I'll admit that my shyness extends to the online world as well, so
I'm usually very slow in the message sending process. So, if you're
interested thus far?
