My self-summary
Scientists believe the first human to live to be 150 years old has already been born. I believe I am that human.

Also, I just traded my life savings for these magic beans. I'm really hoping they work out.

I enjoy going out and being social with the occasional dance-off.

I love music and live shows.

I like comedy, it makes me laugh.

I'm a fan of quirkyness.

I read a lot because I think books are cool. I love good writing. I'm a sucker for intelligent, witty conversations.

"A little sincerity is a dangerous thing, and a great deal of it is absolutely fatal."
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to make sense of this crazy world.

"Life is too important to be taken seriously."
I’m really good at
Geeking out about new music, laughing, making people laugh, my 8th grade school counselor would say "thinking critically", my dad would say "being a pain in my ass", and I would say "just generally being awesome."

"I am not young enough to know everything."
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my blonde hair, or that I'm not wearing any pants.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books & Authors: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Everything Oscar Wilde wrote, Kerouac, Chuck Klosterman, Nick Hornby, Hunter S. Thompson, David Sedaris, Love in the Time of Cholera, Vonnegut, Charles Bukowski, Bret Easton Ellis, Jay McInerney, Life by Keith Richards, Infinite Jest, Jonathan Ames, Tom Wolfe, biographies about extraordinary people.
Music: RHCP, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Band of Horses, Chromeo, Cut Copy, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Muse, Jay-Z, BIG, Tribe, Bon Iver, My Morning Jacket, M83, Foster the People, Bat for Lashes, Phil Collins (I have a weird affinity for Phil Collins and not in the ironic sense. The man has the voice of an angel), Hall & Oates, all things 80s (I get nostalgic when I hear 80's music which is slightly ridiculous considering I was like 8 years old in the 80's), Hip Hop, Metal, Country Rock, a ton of others.
Movies: Casablanca, Old School, Really bad Jason Statham movies, Enter the Dragon, American Psycho, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Pulp Fiction, Breakfast Club, Drive, documentaries (side note: no matter how terrible a movie is, once I start watching it I will finish it. I've seen more than my fair share of awful movies starring Nicolas Cage, Taye Diggs or Jason Statham. I think it's the car-wreck fascination of it all).
TV: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Workaholics, Family Guy, Bored to Death, Parks & Recreation, The Office, Louie, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development
Food: Mexican, sushi, pizza, Peruvian, Cuban, Italian, pretty much everything.
The six things I could never do without
An epic playlist, human interaction, friends, a decent pair of kicks, laughter, a piano necktie

"I can resist everything except temptation."
I spend a lot of time thinking about
music, life and how ridiculous it is, the intricacies of the universe, members of the opposite sex, how I spend time thinking about what I'm thinking about, why people who have a cat always say "oh my cat's not like other cats, he/she is just like a dog!", something inspiring or clever I just read, existential questions, college football, Jay Gatsby and his failed love affair with Daisy Buchanan, my next word in Words with Friends, why I can't be the third member of Daft Punk, casting off the shackles of Corporate America, what a typical night was like for David Bowie in the late 70's, why I dislike auto-correct on the iPhone so much (the other day I texted my friend to "give me a sec" which turned out to be "give me a sex" - AWKWARD), traveling and that mysterious, magical feeling you get when you're totally out of your comfort zone.

“Sometimes I wonder whether the world is run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it."
On a typical Friday night I am
Kicking ass and taking names, putting the rap game in the choke hold, engaging in some witty banter, commissioning a champagne campaign, imbibing some luscious libations, getting my boogie on at a concert, being a nerd and reading a book, fostering the people, laughing, making an obscure reference, being sarcastic.

Also, this is pretty much exactly what my weekends are like so, ya know, buckle up:

  • For new friends
You should message me if
You have a sense of humor, and/or don't take yourself too seriously. You should NOT message me if you truly believe I just traded my life savings for magic beans, if you're an awful person or if you are a serial killer (actually I take that back, serial killers are welcome). Also, if you're 90% enemy or higher please DO contact me. I need a new arch nemesis.
