My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just turned 30. Whoa. Im stoked to start the next decade of my life.

Portland by way of Boston by way of Portland, ME. I guess this is operation Portland 2.0. Its finally hit me that I live here. It only took 9 months before the "I'm just visiting" feeling to go away.

I'm a New England lady, born and bred. I say "wicked" more than I should and when you get a few drinks in me my accent comes out. Its a Maine accent, not a Boston one, I'm not sure if its any better.

I am an eternal optimist and I believe that everything happens for a reason. I think that means I believe in good timing. I always have a smile on my face and way too much energy for my own good.

If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be "bold", thats a nicer way of saying I think I'm sassy, classy and a little kick-assy!

I'll try anything twice and I can talk to just about anyone. Slow is not a pace I am used to but I'm learning to take the time to enjoy life rather than run through it. I want to have a love affair with life, you should too.

I enjoy good beer, good food and even better conversation. I am always ready for something fun, something outside, and something unexpected.

A recent conversation with one of my friends, he said "Jenn, you're a gem. You need to meet someone who is as fun as you. Or you can do what Gram says, 'I had to meet a guy who was just as fun as me, and I am fun. Who wants to spend 60 years with a dud?'"

I love my life, and I would like a partner to share it with. In the words of Gram, let's not be duds together. In a partner, I'm looking for someone who wants a beautiful life. A beautiful life in its most honest form; full of love, laughter and rich in experience. I would love to meet a man that has his head in the clouds and his feet firmly planted on the ground. I want a family one day, he should too. The desire for travel is a non-negotiable, and I don't see the rest of my life living in Oregon. Roots are important, but they shouldn't hinder new experiences. I'm seeking a fellow alpha with a brain.

If you'e picking up what I'm putting down, I hope to hear from you!

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying to be the best version of myself I can be.

I work in advertising. I tell people how to make things. I'm a project manager.

I'm also laughing way too much, feeding everyone I know, dancing like a fool wherever I go and spending as much time with my dog as possible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at telling stories, really bad jokes, getting lost, multi-tasking, making beds, talking to strangers, ordering dessert, being innapropriate, making sauce and making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, I've got red hair and curves for days. Im hard to miss in a crowd.

Other than that, Im running circles around people, making friends wherever I go and I talk to myself a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

When I think of my favorite things, its always a sensory experience. The sound of a champagne cork popping, the smell of rain hitting asphalt on a hot summer night, soft grass under my feet and the sun on my face. Autumn is right around the corner, Im looking forward to the way it smells like dry leaves, dirt and sunshine. Its my favorite time of year.

I like my music live and something I can dance to. I also like the oldies and goodies from Motown to deep Zeppelin cuts. I've got a sweet spot for jam bands and sing-a-longs in the car with the windows down.

Brunch is my favorite meal of the week, its all about ordering or making way too much food, having a few too many drinks, laughing for hours and taking a great nap in the afternoon. Oysters and bubbles is an ideal night out. Snuggles, popcorn and a good movie is my idea of a great night in.

I love the smell of a campfire, and the way my hair smells the next day.

Books. Where do I start? I adore a great story. We can talk about that later.

I have a dog. His name is Pete. He's my main man these days. I like to think that we rescued each other that frigid January morning in 2009. I can tell you all about it over a beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Dog and a lint roller. I love him, but that dog sure does shed.
Sauce. I love sauce.
Laughter; a giggle or a belly laugh that starts to hurt after a while.
A great pillow
A sharp knife and a cast iron pan

Technically, that's more than 6. I like to live on the edge.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I should make for cookie Friday. Ask me about it, you'll want in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Exploring. I think that covers the bases.

Or entertaining. There is always and emergency bottle of bubbles in the fridge and a pound of safety bacon in the freezer. Priorities.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm terrible at cartwheels.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you're playing for keeps. I'm at a point in my life where I am looking for a meaningful relationship with the right person.

Now that's out of the way, you should message me if you want to go out for a drink, a snack, or if you have some sweet dance moves. I have a sweet spot for great smiles, a sharp tongue and fellow red-heads. I like my men the same way I like my paper towels; brawny. It might be weird if you're absorbent, but we can cross that bridge later. If you're tall, clean up well and love long camping trips, we'll get along famously.

I absolutely adore a man's man. I feel like they are a dying breed. That might be the Maine in me. If you think you belong on here, I will probably swoon.

When I think of my favorite people, there are two words that come to mind; humor and grit. The people I love the most in my life really make me laugh. I'm not talking a giggle, I mean the ugly belly laugh where no sound comes out and it hurts a little. They bring out my silly side, although that doesn't take much. Then there is the grit. These people are in it for the marathon, not the sprint. They work hard, they persevere, they fail and try again. They get their hands dirty, lean in, and make their dreams become a reality.

This is also SUPER long. If you made it this far, you deserve a long distance high five.
