My self-summary
I just moved to Southie and I couldn't be more excited!

I am an eternal optimist and I believe that everything happens for a reason. I think that means I believe in good timing. I always have a smile on my face and way too much energy for my own good.

If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be "bold". I'll try anything twice and I can talk to just about anyone. Slow is not a pace I am used to but I'm learning to take the time to enjoy life rather than run through it. I want to have a love affair with life, you should too.

I enjoy good beer, good food and even better conversation. I am always ready for something fun, something outside, and something unexpected.

I love the city, but I am at home in the woods. A relaxing night sitting on a porch in a rocking chair with a cup of black coffee sometimes sounds more appealing than a night on the town. My favorite part about getting out of the city is being able to look up and see a sky littered with stars. I sleep best when the air is salty with the ambient sounds of a distant tide and seagulls.

A recent conversation with one of my friends, he said "Jenn, you're a gem. You need to meet someone who is as fun as you. Or you can do what Gram says, 'I had to meet a guy who was just as fun as me, and I am fun. Who wants to spend 60 years with a dud?'"

I love my life, and I would like a partner to share it with. In the words of Gram, let's not be duds together.

I hope to hear from you!

Cheers!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a producer/project manager (advertising) and I private chef on the side. I keep a couple clients but I don't do it as much as I would like. No, my regular job isn't like Mad Men. Yes, I get compared to Joan a lot. Thank you Ms. Hendricks for bringing back the bombshell.

I'm also laughing way too much, feeding everyone I know, dancing like a fool wherever I go and spending as much time with my dog as possible.

I just added urban gardening to this list. Its a small patch in my backyard, but Ill be able to harvest and share! I have watermelon tomatoes growing. Pink tomatoes with green stripes!! Its like Willy Wonka's playground back there.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at telling stories, really bad jokes, getting lost, multi-tasking, making beds, talking to strangers, ordering dessert, being innapropriate, making sauce and making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
People notice my boundless energy; I can't sit still to save my life. Who am I kidding? It has to be the hair.

I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm a terrible liar. I can't keep a straight face to save my life. I like to think that Im good at poker, but in reality, I'm really quite terrible.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like my music live and something I can dance to. I also like the oldies and goodies from Motown to deep Zeppelin cuts. I've got a sweet spot for jam bands and singalongs in the car with the windows down.

Brunch is my favorite meal of the week. Oysters and bubbles is an ideal night out. Snuggles, popcorn and a good movie is my idea of a great night in.

I love vintage cocktails and a good hanky panky. Although I love them more with a dash of orange bitters. Get your mind out of the gutter, mine already has taken residence there.

I love the smell of a campfire, and the way my hair smells the next day.

Books. Where do I start? I adore a great story. We can talk about that later.

I have a dog. His name is Pete. He's a great dog and I couldn't imagine my life without him. However, I could deal without him opening doors , stealing snacks out of the pantry and getting into the fridge. He's ALWAYS hungry. Trust me, he's not.
The six things I could never do without
My Dog and a lint roller. I love him, but that dog sure does shed.
Wanderlust
Sauce. I love sauce.
Laughter; a giggle or a belly laugh that starts to hurt after a while.
Imagination
A great pillow
A sharp knife and a cast iron pan

Technically, that's more than 6. I like to live on the edge.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I should make for cookie Friday. Ask me about it, you'll want in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Exploring. I think that covers the bases.

Sometimes I think its great to stay in and hit the hay early. A lady needs her beauty sleep every once in a while!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terrible at cartwheels.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 28–39
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
Message me if you're playing for keeps. I'm at a point in my life where I am looking for a meaningful relationship with the right person.

Now that's out of the way, you should message me if you want to go out for a drink, a snack, or if you have some sweet dance moves. I have a sweet spot for great smiles, a sharp tongue and fellow red-heads. I like my men the same way I like my paper towels; brawny. It might be weird if you're absorbent, but we can cross that bridge later. If you're tall, clean up well and love long camping trips, we'll get along famously.

I absolutely adore a man's man. I feel like they are a dying breed. That might be the Maine in me. If you think you belong on here, http://yourllbeanboyfriend.tumblr.com I will probably swoon.
