My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I've got to update this profile. I am no longer single. I am in a relationship with a great guy who is also bi. So, I am no longer actively looking for a girlfriend or boyfriend. However we are looking for singles or couples who we can hang out with and maybe develop into something else.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was in IT for almost six years and engaged. Then a couple of years ago things changed and I was single and without a job. I decided to finish up my degree either in political science or anthropology. My goal is to work for either the State Department or an NGO in developing countries to help build up needed infrastructure and help establish better practices for local governance or doing an ethnography on an isolated culture somewhere in the non post-industrial world.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading people. I can generally understand what makes someone tick really fast. I am a good cook. I also pride myself on being a great listener and confidant to those that are special to me.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There are very few things I absolutely have to have. However, I can think of six things that would be nice to have.
1.) my mp3 player--this is too easy..I keep enough music on that thing to run for three days without repeat.
2.)swiss army knife or multitool. I used to scoff at this but have found that its nice to have those things around.
3.) copy of the novel Dune by Frank Herbert.
4.) my trusty backpack.
5.) my laptop
6.) my phone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lately it has been the nagging question of wanting kids. A few years ago I did not want children but that has changed. I would like to have one child in the next couple of years closer to the end of grad school. When it is not that then its geopolitics, videogames, music, movies, art, and new recipes to try out.

Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a typical Friday night I am fighting the urge to stay out late since I have a metric ton of homework on any given week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Babies, puppies and kittens involuntarily make me go "awwwwww!"
