My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello, gentlemen! I'm a passionate, athletic, fun foodie originally from Maryland. Lived in Boston for the last 9 years and am brand spankin' new to Denver! MM // BA // BM // ISFJ

I'm quite active- love to cook, travel, rock climb, learn new languages, read, run, hike, practice yoga, kayak, and explore new restaurants. Some of my favorite travel places have been Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Ireland, and Mexico. Would love to make it to South America, Germany, and Great Britain some day, but also the northwest of the U.S. because there are some amazing places to hike!

I can talk about food all day, and if you travel somewhere, I'm probably going to ask about what you ate. My favorite things to cook are pistachio herb-crusted chicken, hot tamale pie, seasoned sweet potato fries, homemade masala chai, wild mushroom risotto, and pumpkin pie. I often try to re-create dishes that I've had in restaurants at home, usually with success.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do program management and event planning, but I also freelance as an accent and public speaking coach for international professionals. If you want to know what exactly that entails, just ask me! Both are new career paths for me- I used to be a professional opera singer in Boston. Seriously.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing, languages, logistics, cooking, quoting movies, achieving goals I set for myself
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My wavy, red hair and my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music- Almost anything I can sing to, but will forever love Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, MJ. These guys are great for any occasion. There is also a special, nostalgic place in my heart for 90's rap/pop (think Young MC, Vanilla Ice, TLC, Boyz 2 Men, Bel Biv Devoe, etc.).

Movies-Little Miss Sunshine, Stranger Than Fiction, Big Fish, The Town, No Country for Old Men, The Truman Show, Last of the Mohicans, The Shawshank Redemption, Moonrise Kingdom, Pleasantville, The Game, Priceless, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Ghostbusters, Top Gun
(N.B. I will never make you watch a Rom-Com b/c I generally don't watch them.)

TV Shows- Game of Thrones, Modern Family, Dirty Jobs, House of Cards, Bizarre Foods, anything w/ Anthony Bourdain, Discovery Channel, Chef's Table, Portlandia

Books/News- Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, How We Got to Now, City of Thieves, Angela's Ashes, No Country for Old Men, Life of Pi, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Khaled Husseini books, Jhumpa Lahiri books, NY Times, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (children's book). Also love Radio Lab and Serial podcasts.

Food- Spanish tapas, Mediterranean cooking (Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Morocco), sushi, Indian, Tex-Mex.

**Least favorite foods: beets, alfalfa sprouts, water chestnuts, fast food (including soda), truffle oil, and offal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Red wine, running, fresh air, family, music, and fresh produce.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Which new recipes to try, how to decorate my apartment, getting my business off the ground, which books to read next, where next to explore.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cooking something new with a glass of wine in hand, out exploring a new place, going for a run, or watching a movie
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

In 2014, I made it onto the cover of Sports Illustrated!

I'm looking for an intelligent, caring, active man with great communication skills, integrity, and who wants to be in a loving relationship. Chivalry goes a long way with me. I also appreciate someone who will laugh and be silly with me! I really don't want to spend a lot of time messaging or texting back and forth- if there's a mutual interest, let's make a plan to meet!

P.S. Call it old school, but I love a guy who'll enjoy talking with me on the phone, not just texting!
