The essay bit is always harder than the multiple choice...
I'm kind, funny, reasonably smart and love meandering conversations about everything and nothing with a nice glass of wine. I'm fairly easy-going, but have been known to shush people talking in cinemas once the trailers are over. I officially recognise only the first three Indiana Jones films. I work hard but would secretly love to give it all up and write a novel (so far all I've got is a bullet-point list of what a novel might have in it).

I work in TV, which I love except for the crazy hours.

One liners, making dessert, starting fires in the wilderness, packing, crosswords.

I'm not sure that liking similar films and books means anything really. But nonetheless, some of my favourite films are Klute, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Philadelphia Story, ET, All About Eve, It's a Wonderful Life or anything with Ray Harryhausen stop-motion.

I'll read almost anything that's not in a pastel cover with the words 'shopping' or 'fifty' in the title... I especially enjoy Margaret Atwood, Cormac McCarthy and David Mitchell.

For food it's rare steak, skinny fries, black olives, rhubarb crumble, Granny Smith apples, cornflakes with sugar and really cold milk

Something good to read, family & friends, strong tea, dark chocolate, punctuation and kindness. Yes, I know I can't count.

Time travel. Seriously.
