I've just recently moved out of home... YAY! I'm getting my life
together as I used to live in a very abusive household with my
family. I work in a Telstra Shop selling phones. I don't love my
job, but I love yacking to people, helping them out & just
being helpful in general. This may sound lame to you, but I don't
care!!
In my spare time
I love
organising crazy flash-mob events with the group
STEFASAURUS
PRODUCTIONS on Facebook,
singing,
songwriting,
photography,
painting, I'm absolutely positively
addicted to
Twitter... :)
My group
STEFASAURUS PRODUCTIONS
available at http://www.melbourneflashmob.com started on a whim of
creativity, impatience & frustration. I wanted to attend an
event that I had seen been done overseas. I searched for an hour
& a half online to find the "next Melbourne one" but couldn't
find one at all.
So I thought, "Fuck it! I'll just make it myself!" 150 people
attended my Freeze Frame event, I had an interview with ABC Radio
about it, & The Age sent a photographer to document the event -
with a picture of the event being on the front page of The Age
website. I was so proud of myself. :) I got asked on that day,
"What is your next event?" --- And so, that's how I started my
group, which now has 400 members, & is single-handedly run by
myself. :) I guess sometimes, impatience is key! :D Also, "If you
want something done, you've got to do it yourself."
I love
reading & reviewing books that I've read. I'm just getting
back into the whole review thing, since I've always wanted to get
free stuff & have a review site. :D Maybe I will one
day...
I'm hopeless at cooking & ironically have started a group food
blog at http://www.thewhininganddining.com - I am hoping perhaps to
make a giant KITKAT one day for a big party launch, & of course
learn more about the world of food! I am seriously completely
hopeless! Maybe you could teach me?
I also help the band Thirsty Merc, I've been helping them for
years. I'm the Victorian Street Team Leader - that entails poster
runs, mailing list sign ups... but I get to go to their gigs for
free & chill with the band, so I can't complain. :) I love
supporting talented people; GENUINE support. I don't really have
crushes on celebrities or musicians. That's just silly.
For fun I love going to
band gigs,
musicals,
music festivals,
concerts,
comedy gigs... I do drink! But
I only drink socially. I don't go out of my way to have a beer
& what not. Clubbing & "doof-doof" music aren't really my
kind of thing.
I would like a place where I can talk, not have my voice drowned
out by thumping. I honestly don't see the point of "getting
smashed" because people do these things to be more social, to be
more outgoing, to have more courage etc... I don't need alcohol to
do these things as I already do them naturally when I'm sober.
:)
Have I mentioned I love my sports? I am not very athletic, but I
love watching
tennis,
soccer {REAL FOOTBALL}, & the
Olympics. I get
so into it sometimes that I yell at my TV. I don't really have that
many friends that are into sports unfortunately. They're more into
anime conventions & cosplay - things I like, but still --- I
think I need more friends who are into sports!! I don't like
feeling masculine for liking sports! Sports should be a universal
appreciation, but I guess I just haven't been lucky as of
late!
Regarding sports for myself, I've been to a shooting range a couple
of times & am very interested in
rifle shooting, & would love
a gun licence one day. :) I'm trying to go rifle shooting every
second Sunday. I disagree with game shooting, the shooting of
animals but i do enjoy shooting my targets. :) It's okay, you won't
be a target, I promise. I'm harmless. :)
My dream is to be an accomplished
singer/
songwriter. My family forbid me to
learn any music, so I haven't had any musical training. Whatever
talent I have with singing & songwriting - it is all raw. I
think of a
melody,
write the lyrics & then I always remember after that.
So say for example I forget the song melody & the lyrics. If I
can view the
lyrics
again, I instantly remember everything exactly how I wrote it to
begin with. I cannot play an instrument or write/read music
notes... but that doesn't mean I am any less worthy in comparison
to those who can. If you can play, I'm more than happy to
sing with you, or to you. I've
recently started in a music duo, so I'm hoping this dream works
out. :)
