My self-summary
I'm a feminist beach bum that loves being in the sunshine. I'm 25, and like when people laugh at my nerdy jokes. Here's one:

Argon walks into a bar. The bartender says, "We don't serve noble gasses here!" Argon doesn't react.

I'm from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I moved to Miami when I was 13. Then I moved to Catania, Sicily, IT, before recently moving to Jacksonville, NC. I miss Europe every day.

I think it's very annoying and ignorant that Ok Cupid gives you only two options for gender on here, and only 3 options for sexual orientation, as if that was in anyway accurate.

I have a healthy addiction to crossfit and swimming.

Apparently there has been some sort of confusion. I believe in feminism. That means actual feminism, not fake "I want equal rights but still believe in oppressive 1950's gender roles."

Am I the only one who thinks of the Norse gods when they hear the names Thor and Loki, and not the damn comic book characters?

Webcomics = The tits. XKCD, Hipster Hitler, and A Softer World are real gems.

I'm not the biggest "people" person, so i don't need that many friends. It's been said that the world needs love. I think the world would be better served with a few more IQ points.

They say that optimists see the glass half-full, and pessimists see it as half-empty. I see it as twice as large as it needs to be, while my AP English teacher from high school is probably still going on about the drapes and what their blue shade says about the author's sex life.
What I’m doing with my life
Navy Corpsman. It's a job, a fun one at that, but it doesn't define me. In fact my coworkers think I'm the token hippie. I don't fit in well, so if you are normally attracted to military guys, you probably won't be into me.
I’m really good at
Cooking, running, swimming, anything outdoors. Oh I've been told my drawings aren't too shabby.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've never asked them. Who asks people that? "Hey, what did you notice about me first? ...Oh, that. This has just become awkward. I've been told it's operable." My humour has been called dark, and, at times, mildly offensive.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.”
-Hunter S. Thompson

Books: Anyone who cares about their food should read Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, but really, all of his books are top. Catch-22, The Rum Diary, Fahrenheit 451, On the Road, The Things They Carried, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Douglas Adams was a genius.

I just finished "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Great book, not much else to say... Go read it and find your own way to identify with Charlie.

Lately I've been reliving the Marilyn Manson albums, Dope Show was one of the greatest albums created by a musician. Ever.

Music: It varies. Arctic Monkeys, Fratellis, Funeral Party, Kasabian, Airborne Toxic Event, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Rolling Stones, Rage Against the Machine, The Kooks... Some newer stuff like Fun and Of Monsters and Men are pretty good as well, so long as it is in small doses. I love live music, preferably a band that hasn't made it big so that they are still making music for fun.

Let's take a moment to talk about the band Panic! At the Disco, and how they were screwed from the get-go. First, let's point out the band's positive attributes. The lead singer has a pretty good voice of the classical lounge singer genre, a rare quality in today's music. The songs are love songs, but from a cynical arsehole's perspective, and the lyrics have a fair amount of effort put into them by mainstream pop's standards. The music is written by the band, and doesn't stick to the save 3 chords like most bands do. All this is irrelevant. They were doomed from the start because their lead singer is young and boyish enough to where middle school girls became ridiculously obsessed with them. And that, my friends, is why they will never, ever, be taken seriously as artists.

...And yes, I still listen to them.
The six things I could never do without
You'd be surprised what you can live without, but the things I'd miss most of my life if they were gone are:

Exercise
The Beach
Music
Reading
Travel
Football (the real one, where the ball is round and you kick it with your foot, hence the name)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The comparative anatomy of eating. Why TOMS doesn't make more leather free shoes. I mean really, faux leather is a cheaper and more reliable material.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watering the rocks. In reality I'm at home, or on an adventure to return the Ring of Power to Hogwarts so that I can stop Darth Vader from invading Neverneverland. But really, if you're big into the club scene, you won't want me as your best friend. If you like a quiet lounge with good beer (life is too short to drink bad beer), then we're on the same frequency.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really wish Professor Snape had gotten the girl.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–30
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You're bored, or if you really really want to.
