My Self-Summary
Hey guys! My name is Erika, and I'm a lovely Puerto Rican living in Connecticut.
I immerse myself in the arts, predominantly in music,
theatre, literature, etc. I'm in love with my soprano voice, and I play
cello, piano and
tenor saxophone. I love horseback riding, even though I
haven't gotten the chance to do it in a while... Fictional novels
like Eragon and
Eldest are the most
fun to read, IMO... and I loved the film version of Eragon. I know
it didn't do the book any sort of justice, but I liked it just the
same. I can't forget to mention my adoration of the films Labyrinth and El
Labirinto Del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth). Oh, in case anyone was
wondering, I tend to smell like Cotton Candy all the time... LoL.
I'm a fun person to hang out with and talk to, partially because I
have the attention span of a flea at times. ^_^* I speak three
languages and
understand five, so no one gets left out when we're having a
conversation... :) I'M AN AUNTIE!!! My sister just had her baby in
January and I forgot to mention it here... Needless to say, I love
kids.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm a Medical Assistant practicing in the state of CT.
As of right now, I'm anxiously awaiting the spring of 2010, when I'll begin a new course of study at UMASS-Amherst with the love of my life. <3
And then there's the music. I'm in the process of writing, editing, and recording some of my own material. You know, just to give it a shot. A lot of people say I sound like Amy Lee of Evanescence, but I like to say that I sound just like MYSELF. She may have influenced me, but that's about it.

I’m really good at
I'm involved in music in any way that I can be. I play musical
instruments, I sing, I perform in musicals, you name it, I've
probably done it. What can I say, I'm a poetess, aspiring opera
singer and stage actress, author, pianist...
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to notice my rather large eyes and lips, and my curvy
5'5" frame. :) Some people ask me if I'm of Middle Eastern descent,
and I'm not. I am 100% Puerto Rican. ;) (Speaking of which, my boss
started to talk to me in Hindi yesterday... I kinda had no choice
but to nod my head and pretend I understood... xD Gotta love having
that exotic look... :P)

Bill Kaulitz and JUMBIE. (look it up on YouTube) I've never seen a
grown man act so worried about a TOY AIRPLANE. -_-'

I ROFLMAO so hard I couldn't breathe. It's the dumbest, but funniest animation short I've seen in a long time.
um, I seriously dont think I can fit EVERYTHING... That could take decades and multiple pages... My taste in music envelops nearly every genre, from romantic love ballads and Nena (w00h00 Deutschland!) to J-Rock and metal. I'm open minded about everything.
As for food, I'll eat anything as long as it doesn't resemble what it looked like in life, and as long as its not human. Seriously! I am very open-minded about a LOT of things.(Obscure dishes like balut and monkey brains need not apply... Bull testicles? EGADS, ANDREW ZIMMERN!!)

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The world, our existence as a species, the existence of naked
singularities and black holes, global warming, my family, my
friends, my pets, everyone's wellbeing, the possibilty of remotely
causing something to happen with one's thoughts (nothing is
relative anymore, Einstein), the human's ability to learn and
create and express emotion, etc. I think a lot...
On a typical Friday night I am

On rare occasions, I'll be writing the next chapter in some unfinished literary work of mine or another,
