I am just absolutely sick of hearing all these supposedly nice guys talking about how girls always leave them for jerks. That's not what happens. These "nice" guys are either actually jerks, clingy, or total creepers. Actual nice guys, who have self-confidence, do pretty well with women. This is because most women will never choose a jerk over a genuinely nice and non-creepy guy.
Guys who talk about women prefering jerks are just bitter losers and need to move the hell on with their lives.
When it comes to music, I find the whole idea of guilty pleasures ridiculous. The term implies that you think it's wrong to like a certain type of music or artist. Why is it wrong? Because it's outside of the genre you typically prefer? It's a good thing to branch out to different genres. It's called variety, and life would be horrifically boring without it.
When it comes to any genre of music, only about 10% of it is actually any good. The other 90% is usually just people trying to copy the original ten. For example, I typically prefer indie music, but if that's all I listened to, I would go crazy from hearing so many Bright Eyes and Eisley knock-offs (I know there's others, but I decided to go with a small sample group there). So I opened myself up to other types of music and found some stuff that I greatly enjoy, and I'm not ashamed to admit it (I love Miley Cyrus).
Also, why the hell would you feel guilty? Are you afraid that your friends will think less of you for liking something they don't? If so, then either you are seriously underestimating your friends, or they're not really your friends at all and you shouldn't be bothering with them in the first place. Seriously, anyone who would pick and choose their friends based solely upon musical preference needs to pull that giant spike out of their hindquarters and get a personality.
Beh, that's enough for now.
