My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love NYC but I'm a native so forgive me if I don't swoon over this town. It's just home.
I would have to describe myself as an atypical person. The path commonly taken doesn't generally appeal to me, especially where thinking is concerned. I'm fairly gregarious and I usually get on well with just about everyone but that doesn't mean that my bullshit detector is broken.
To quote Denis Diderot: "Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest." That's pretty much where I stand.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a furniture designer, builder and restorer. I also design showroom and retail spaces. I also co-manage 3 bars in the East Village on a part-time basis.
I'm an avid biker and skater (figure or speed).
The beach is a haven as are the woods but the idea of camping for a week in the snow no longer appeals to me.
Am I supposed to add some boilerplate about "living it to the fullest"?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Anything I put my mind to.
Disarming nuclear warheads
Underwater Jenga
Shuck and jive
Recumbent unicycle
Bending minds with my spoon
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm carbon based. I'm 3 dimensional. I look like I'm in my early to mid 30's.(which can be annoying)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
In recent years I've gravitated toward non-fiction.
My taste in music is broad. There's good and bad in all genres.
I'm an adventurous eater. There's nothing I won't try at least once; no matter how nasty it may sound.
I'll list a few movies because I think it gives an idea of tastes.
Metropolis, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Seconds(a must see!), 12 Angry Men, Blade Runner, 2001:A Space Odyssey, anything Hitchcock (but especially Rope, Psycho, Strangers on a Train and The 39 Steps), Brazil, Night of the Living Dead, Dr. Strangelove, Topkapi, Dr. No, Kung Fu Hustle, The Armor of God, Dollars, Naked Lunch, Eating Raoul, Buster Keaton(all of it), Straw Dogs, 5 Easy Pieces, The Silent Partner....shit, I'm rambling
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good food
Espresso machine
The beach (nature in general)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How much I detest Nantucket red?
Why so many people want to have children after 40. Do we really want to be 40 years older than our kids; sending them out into the world at 60 ?!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're passionate. You know who you are and what you want. You're smart. You find an ugly truth more appealing than a beautiful lie. You like to laugh...a lot. You're tired of dealing with wankers and momma's boys. You've lost interest in emotionally retarded "men" who are seeking someone to do their laundry for them.
