My self-summary
I think this whole profile is a pretty good self-summary, so in this space I'm just going to say that if we were to meet in person, it will not be awkward no matter what. Even if you hate me immediately we can be like "Well, sorry about that, I'll be on my way then!" and you won't get a bunch of creepy follow-up messages. I have female friends who use this site and so trust me, I understand what you're going though here.
What I’m doing with my life
I have two jobs right now, so I'm busy but I always keep enough time to have a personal and social life.

Quick note! These jobs are totally political and admittedly I am a hardcore Democrat. If you don't care about politics AT ALL that is totally fine with me, we never have to discuss it. If you love politics we'll have fun too! If you're a hard-core conservative, we probably won't get along just on the basis of thoughts on issues like gay marriage.

I'm the Executive Director of the Mercer County Democratic Committee, and I work as a Confidential Aide to the Mercer County Executive. I'm also president of the Mercer County Young Democrats (I know, but it's NOT my entire life, I swear.)
I’m really good at
It is kind of hard to balance modesty with trying to impress people on this site! That's something I'm NOT good at, I guess.

I think I am talented; I'm very good at my job, and I usually achieve the goals I set for myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm pretty gregarious and have a loud voice. I promise that is not a code for "obnoxious." My voice is deep and carries far, it's a blessing and a curse.

I'm also funny, but that is ridiculously hard to prove on the internet. You can hold me to this if we meet in person.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: What It Takes, Master of the Senate, Blue Blood, Newjack, many more. I love creative non-fiction.

Movies: Quiz Show, The Godfather, Gone Baby Gone, Pan's Labyrinth, Back to the Future, Drive, American Movie, Man on Wire, No Country for Old Men, many more!

TV Shows: Arrested Development, The Office [UK -- but we don't have to argue, I think it's usually just decided by which you saw first and got attached to], Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Luther, Futurama, hmm I'll keep thinking!
The six things I could never do without
This is a hard one. It's easy to say "friends and family" or go the (un)funny route and say "food and water," but I feel like you're supposed to be revealing something about yourself. I'll give it a shot, kind of in terms of my favorite things:

The UNC Tar Heels (college basketball)
Playing H.O.R.S.E.
Planning and executing pranks (beautifully well-done pranks are like, my favorite freaking thing in life.)
Michael Jordan
That's only five things. I'm going to pretend that's revealing in itself somehow.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
One, like I said, is pranks. I've been trying really hard to not be pretentious (I hate pretentiousness more than anything [that and passive-aggression!]) but this just kind of sounds pretentious and I'm saying it anyway: When I'm planning a prank I want it to include what I call "The Elegance Factor." There should be something "elegant" about the prank that leaves bystanders and/or the prankee impressed. A good prank shouldn't actually hurt anyone, and should leave authority figures grumbling publicly but chuckling privately.

I also spend a lot of time thinking about my future goals. Please keep in mind my earlier note about pretentiousness, because I feel like I'm failing miserably in that area. I really enjoy envisioning myself achieving a goal and then forcing that vision into reality. I don't talk like this in real life, I guess unless you asked me this exact question.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually either in or out with friends. If I feel like it, I'm perfectly willing to forget it's Friday and just do nothing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still miss my dog, who died five years ago. We had him from when I was four to when I was nineteen.
