My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A summary of who I am: I grew up in Las Vegas. I moved to Chicago in December 2014 after a decade living in Seattle. My main goal is to live like someone I'd want to look up to. I'm a two time college dropout turned BA in Humanities who now knows a lot more about Shakespeare, Civil Engineering, Psychology, Statistics and Theatre than most. I was a theatre and dance performer in Las Vegas and Seattle before moving to Chicago. I currently work in academic administration. I enjoy black coffee, practicing and performing improv, writing, working on improving my habits, and learning more about the world. I'm a humanist that was raised by Christians, and my basic POV is that I have no problem with your views as long as you aren't directly hurting anyone because of them.

I believe many other cultures generally understand forming intimate relationships better than we do. In many cultures, intimate partners bond out of friendships. If two friends click, they grow closer. People who click right off the bat are also more open to intimacy without the rigmarole of dating. America's approach to building relationships through dating seems less efficient and more like a hiring process than a way to form great relationships.

That said, let's have a conversation and see if we like each other. I don't have a list of demands for a partner and I hope you don't either. I am open to taking time to get to know each other before deciding to have an intimate relationship, or moving quickly if we immediately click.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After living in Seattle almost 10 years, I just moved to Chicago to perform improv and I'm quite thrilled with the whole experience so far.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Looking like I belong in whatever I'm doing
- Hamming it up
- Making people laugh more than they should
- Physical theatre
- City and highway driving
- Cooking brown rice
- Getting everything going
- Staying aware of my surroundings and sensing trouble
- Schedule and commute planning
- Finding awesome dance music
- Improvising
- Making bad jokes
- Logic problems
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS: Non-fiction about improv and whatever other subjects I'm curious about at the time.

MOVIES: Haven't watched TV or movies in years. Youtube is about as close as I get.

SHOWS: I watch and enjoy a lot of improv. Chicago is the improv mecca.

MUSIC: OutRun/80's style EDM and funk. Kavinsky, Lazerhawk, Mitch Murder are good sample points for OutRun. (You probably know what funk sounds like!)

FOOD: Black coffee! Also, breakfast food (eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes), beef steak, sushi, fried or baked chicken, salmon. Favorite vegetables include asparagus, carrots and cucumbers. I like the weird juices Whole Foods makes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- A black ballpoint pen
- My glasses
- My keys
- My wallet
- Something to look forward to
- The search for item #6
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How the moment feels, plus the next step, both now and in the big picture.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm generally averse to going out on the night that everyone else in the city likes to go out to bars. If friends are meeting up or doing a show that night, I may go to that. Sometimes I go on a weekend getaway and am jetting out of town one way or another.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Periodically I'll wipe out the answers to all my questions and re-answer them from scratch, to see how I've evolved between however long ago and now.
