My Self-Summary
I was born in Germany and grew up in New Jersey, making me a dual citizen and a decisive driver.
I enjoy shenanigans. If you were to accidentally send me an email intended for someone else, I would pretend to be the intended recipient and try make that person seem as crazy as possible.
Sometimes I quietly hope that a fire will block off the normal exits from my building and I will be forced to climb/scramble/jump my way out.
I take walks late at night where I sing, all by myself, very loudly. But when people approach I quiet down until they've passed.
I can rapidly detect if someone I'm on the phone with is crazy.
When I got a label-maker at my office, I immediately used it not to label files but to make a sign that said "Office of World Domination" and put it on my door. The IT guy down the hall just became a father and so I put "The Office of the PROGENITOR" on his door.
I'm good to people and easy to be with. I'm kind without being a pushover and honest without being an asshole about it. I used to love to argue but these days prefer to talk.
What I’m doing with my life
I volunteer at a crisis hotline and deal on the phone with all manner of nuttiness, tragedy, creepiness, hilarity, poverty, violence, and abuse. It's intense.
I'm trying to construct a good future while remembering that there is no such thing.
I do Parkour and cross-training for Parkour (yoga, climbing, pilates, lifting, healing injuries). I fall in love with structures that few others care about (parking garages are amazing places, for example). I'll pass up a green field for a cold steel rail.

the little eddies of cruelty and mercy embedded in the law, regulatory reform, counterinsurgency doctrine, health care, competition policy, Islamic theology and jurisprudence.
