I'm new to the desert and want to meet a normal, smart, nice girl.

I moved here for work, and I'm fortunate enough to have a job I enjoy. I take my work seriously but am otherwise pretty laid back, and definitely know how to have a good time. Overall, I'm basically a nice guy. I'm extremely smart, and for me intelligence is a major turn-on.

I love live music more than anything - I usually see more shows in a year than most people do in a decade - what could be more fun than a rowdy, kick-ass concert? Other than music I'm pretty easily entertained: good food, dive bars, road trips, poker, pool, camping, the beach, frisbee golf, cooking, etc. etc.

Music: Phish, My Morning Jacket, Bob Dylan, The Band, Neil Young, Talking Heads, Warren Zevon, the Disco Biscuits, Springsteen, the Grateful Dead, Lou Reed, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones (pre-1975) - I think Exile on Main Street might be the greatest album ever made.

Movies: off the top of my head, the Big Lebowski, High Fidelity, Eternal Sunshine, Goodfellas, Batman Begins/Dark Knight and Superbad - I'm not very picky when it comes to movies.

TV: West Wing, Mad Men, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, the Wire, Parks & Recreation, Dexter and the Daily Show/Colbert Report.

Books: mostly non-fiction and auto/biographies - the last few books I read were Liar's Poker, Shakey (Neil Young bio), Gang Leader for a Day, One of a Kind (Stu Ungar bio), the Sun Also Rises, Notes from the Underground and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (Warren Zevon bio).
