I am honest, nerdy, and perpetually age 12.

My Self-Summary

I'm about a year and a half out of college, and I've recently moved to Minneapolis from Kansas City. I'm here to start my dream job as a writer at a magazine I've been reading since I was 10.

I'm the rare breed of nerd that actually enjoys going out and being social. Granted, this doesn't mean I'm going out dancing at douchey clubs nightly, but I love dive bars and anyplace with cheap drinks and some character. I'm looking forward to seeing what Minneapolis has to offer.

I love stupid 80s action movies, Nerf guns, board games, roller coasters, fruit snacks, and virtually anything else I loved when I was 12.

What I’m doing with my life

Changing everything I know about it. I've lived my entire life around Kansas City, and all my family and friends are there. As hard as it is to leave it all behind, I couldn't be more thrilled to move up to Minneapolis and start my career.

I’m really good at

Any kind of useless, trivial, or obscure pop culture knowledge. Whenever I watch a movie on DVD, I have an OCD habit of constantly checking IMDB to find the names and filmography of almost every minor character. So if you're in an emergency and need to know the movies Peter Stormare has been in, who the bad guy from Die Hard 2 was, or who the homeless guy in Dirty Work was, I can probably help you out.

The first things people usually notice about me

That my maturity level and interests are similar to that of a kid, but a lot of the stuff I say is basically stuff I picked up from my grandpa. I've unintentionally adopted his laugh, as well as the sayings "What do we got going on here?", "what in the Sam Hell", describing people as being "up to something" or calling them "jokers". I've yet to take on his trademark of yelling "ACT LIKE YOU'RE SOMEBODY" at people when taking pictures, but I fear that day may be coming soon.

Live From New York, anything by The Onion

On a typical Friday night I am

Considering that I'm new to the city, I plan on spending my weekends discovering fun things to do in the area. Bars, parks, anything interesting.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm a nerd. A really, really big nerd. So much in fact that I make my living from it (so I guess it's not really "private").

Also, I'm usually very direct about everything except for one area. If someone messages me and I'm not interested, I'm awful at just coming out and saying it. My standard reaction is to just not respond at all in those situations (I think that's better than stringing someone along just to be nice). I'm not trying to be a dick when I do that, I just know what type of girl I am or am not interested in.

You should message me if

You don't take yourself too seriously.
