My self-summary
** Under construction. Well, reconstruction. There used to be a big wall of text here. You didn't miss much, it wasn't that good, its only virtue was its honesty I guess. Anyway, it wasn't concise enough. So I'm working on it again. **

What I’m doing with my life
Currently a work-in-progress. Okay, fair enough, life is always a work-in-progress, but to clarify, right now it's a little messier than usual. I'm searching for a new direction. Changing jobs, going back to school, starting my own business? Who knows what I'll be doing next month, least of all me...
I’m really good at
Making friends with animals.
Running away from spiders while screaming like a little girl.
Understanding how machines work, being at least half-machine myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not entirely sure, because "hey, what was the first thing you noticed about me?" isn't exactly the kind of question one normally asks people...
I *think* that I probably come across as a bit distant, awkward, or downright weird. Well, I'll plead guilty to not being the most sociable person in the world. I don't bite though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I mostly read fantasy novels, some of my favourites being Anne Bishop's Black Jewels novels, Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy, and many more. For a quick laugh, a random Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett.

I haven't been to the movies in ages, the perks of having a big 3D TV and a Blu-Ray player. In general terms, I like action, comedy, fantasy, thriller, japanese animation, those ridiculous Chinese wushu movies with bad actors and worse special effects... I'm not too picky when it comes to movies.

These days I spend more time watching TV series than movies though. I'm currently hooked on Castle, Elementary, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Person of Interest, Suits, The Big Bang Theory (past favourites included Profit, Firefly, The West Wing, and Parker Lewis Can't Lose).

As far as music is concerned, I love jazz (especially gipsy jazz). Of course, I'm not against listening to a bit of everything for variety's sake.

I admit to being a picky eater, but that has less to do with taste, and more about what my stomach can handle (damn you, ulcers!) I enjoy Asian, Italian, and French cuisine - but I absolutely can't handle anything too spicy or acid -_-'
The six things I could never do without
My glasses.
Furry animals to play with.
A body of water to take a swim in once in a while.
Personal space.
Freedom.
Intelligence: yours, mine, anything to create a spark of activity in the brain - anything to make me feel like I'm not just another mindless drone in the crowd.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do, what to do - oh, I know! I could...
On a typical Friday night I am
an introvert geek - that is to say, NOT outside. I hardly ever go out unless there is a good reason to - are you a good reason?
I can be found catching up on TV shows, gaming alone or online, watching a movie, pondering my next big money-making scheme, etc.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I would really like to meet someone that I would be afraid of losing. It has never happened before, and I'm curious to know how it'd feel.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–40
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You've made it this far.
For some reason or other you chose to give me some stars - I can't know who you are, so a message, even a short one, would be nice.
You'd rather change the world than have the world change you.
