My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
- Dr. Seuss

A geeky/nerdy troglodyte, a creative writer, a programmer, a humorist, drinking companion, etc. I currently dwell in San Antonio. I'm 200 degrees, that's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit. I travel at the speed of light. I want to make a supersonic woman of you. ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in software and research (programming cool machines and apps). So this means I spend a lot of time explaining what I did and what went wrong with a computer, rarely at the same time.

...also building my time machine, although I'm sure my future self will finish, travel back to my time with it, and give his to me instead. So I think I can relax and just wait for that...yeah.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding and exploiting awkward moments in conversations, calling myself out on bullshit, and gaining insight at the last possible moment.

I can also cook a mean breakfast, recall obscure pop culture facts, and play a game called "Size Me Up" (it's a fun game, you should try it!)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my Zach Galifianakis beard, if I were to's up to other people, what to notice, isn't it?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

E-books and comics usually. The ones I read are almost always the base material for my favorite films. I like going further down that rabbit hole... I also listen to audiobooks, especially if they're read by the author. Reading Easy Street: The Hard Way by Ron Perlman. Awesome stuff...

Typical guy movies: action-adventure, comedy, sci-fi, and a chick flick once in a while (I can't help it). I'm especially a fan of Sylvester Stallone as a writer and director along with Darren Aronofsky, Guillermo Del Toro, and Robert Rodriguez.
A few stand-out favorites: The Addams Family, Machete, Back to the Future, Hellboy, any James Bond...

Top Gear UK, Parks and Rec, Have I Got News For You, Constantine, almost any British comedy sans Monty Python...definitely Doctor Who, The Cosmos (science is kind of awesome).

Almost anything is good listening: pop, soul, jazz, 8-bit, long as it's not country or new gangsta rap (old school rap, however, is awesome). Mostly, though, I'm very much a rocker and metal-head.

I'd like to try anything at least once...why not?
Safe bets are Freebird's, California Pizza Kitchen, Wing Stop, Sonic, and any local Italian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Humor.
2. The Internet.
3. A computer.
4. Being open-minded.
5. Movies and video games.
6. My towel.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever comes to me...the way my mind works, it can be something serious, deep, and/or philosophical, and the next minute, it can be complete and utter nonsense ...sometimes both.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at home, relaxing from a long, full day at work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am not a country boy. I don't like the music, the clothes, the whole's just not my bag, baby.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. don't "live life to the fullest" or whatever filler phrase that says nothing unique. agree that Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson is a total pimp. don't mind dissecting and joking about old bullshit movie cliches.'re 420 friendly (not required).'re into dudes with beards.

....or if any of this made you crack anything resembling a smile. I'm always up for a friendly conversation, so long as it leads somewhere.
