I’m not from round these parts - from the southern hemisphere, originally. Long enough to be a funny-talker every now and then, but not so much that you can pin me down so easily.
And now I’m wondering what’s next. I appreciate the inertia of momentum, of aspiration and aiming towards goals. By the same token, I like being at place in the present. It's this tension - negotiating between the now and there - that makes me embrace engaging with others, as well as being introspective.
I love to run the trails nearby, and ski with a friend no matter how good or new they may be. I like to learn about what you're reading, and what in life and on the radio and in the news gets you excited and frustrated and passionate. I'm trying to pick up my baking game - I have a pretty good pie crust going, but just failed miserably on gingerbread man dough... I have three great kids who have successfully negotiated the transition from living in the urban core to outdoorsy Boulder. Having the opportunity for them to experience all that this community and landscape can offer is very meaningful to me. And taking advantage of the great restaurants in the area is exciting - but just as much, is a good and relaxed conversation over a pint at the pub.
I reckon that you’ll be nimble from thought to thought, and'll have no qualms about letting your feelings and opinions be known. But that you’ll also appreciate the lacunae of the day. You'll be inspiringly smart, keeping me off balance and wanting more. But most of all that you'll have that innate desire to never want to stop exploring, whatever that is.
