I’m a little bit of column A, and a little bit of column B – I strive for balance in my life. Don’t be confused, though, I’m ambitious about the things I pursue. I’m on OkCupid to find my match – someone who is equally ambitious about her work or personal passion.

Balance for me means getting outside at least once a weekend (skiing, rock climbing, hiking), but it also means exposing myself (hah) to culture (museums, theater … Arrested Development). It’s about committing myself to doing well at work, while making time for friends, family, and myself.

After getting my MBA and spending two years in management consulting, I've switched to product marketing for a tech firm. I've tried to get away from tech, but found myself coming back to it - nowhere else do I have as many "wow, that's pretty cool!" moments as when I'm immersed in the tech scene.

I'm currently really focused on learning about product management and product design in the mobile space.

Planning trips and days/nights-out with friends (I plan and/or participate in an annual decathlon of fun/ridiculous events with friends) and trying new things (hence the assortment of stuff in my apartment, from a barely used squash racket to an often used set of ski boots).

Well I *am* 6'2", so that's kind of hard to miss...:)

Reading: National Geographic, Fast Company, Shantaram, Unbroken, The Odyssey, The Count of Monte Cristo, Hitchhiker's Guide, Wheel of Time, and Ender's Game.

Watching: Hulu/Netflix only. Sherlock (BBC), White Collar, Arrested Development, House of Cards. Zoolander.

Listening: Eclectic (hiphop, country, and EDM of late). My most recent concert was Foster the People.

Eating: Anything. Preference for La Taq, Locanda, Nopa, Bar Crudo.

Other...ing? Video games. (in my mom's basement. with cheetos.)

...how an English major can make the switch to product management without going back to school for an engineering degree.

Also, of late, how so many people appear to have friends that are professional photographers. What's up with all these profile pictures with perfect lighting, a casual pose, and great scenery?

Spending time with friends, grabbing dinner or doing some activity I found on johnny funcheap, facebook, or the like. I value having time to be alone, but I thrive and recharge when I'm around my friends.

Despite being a wicked tall white boy from Boston, I have cowboy boots AND have closed down Double Dutch after a night of dancing to hiphop.

I'm looking for someone optimistic and happy; someone smart and motivated to kick butt at work and at life, but can also slow down and enjoy it as it comes; someone who likes to try new things, be outside, and be active...but also likes the occasional lazy night in.
