My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Rachel. I am here to find people to talk to. The age shown above is incorrect, I forgot to change the year from 1984 to 1983 when I joined. I am a classical musician, mainly a clarinetist and composer. I enjoy reading and spending time alone. My best friend once suggested that I make a deal with my ex boyfriend: he stops playing WoW for a week (not that I have anything against WoW, I play myself (edit: I did. I got bored with it.), but when someone with Asperger's Syndrome thinks you spend too much time at your hobby, you could have a problem) if I stop reading for a week. My reply "Well, after I go insane on the second day and kill someone..." I have Asperger's Syndrome, and am extremely interested in autism and Asperger's Syndrome. I prefer the company of my cat to that of people, and I prefer my interactions to be in writing. (yeah, Rachel, that'll get the messages flying in...) As for religion, I was a Christian, now I am agnostic with "Oh my God, God's going to kill me for not believing in him HELP ME I'M GONNA DIE AND GO TO HELL!!!!" leanings, AND "There IS no God! NO GOD, I tells ya!" leanings. I enjoy studying religion but have not studied any in great depth. Philosophy-wise, I'm an absurdist. I have occasional moments of nihilism, but they just mean that I'm tired and grumpy. When I'm not feeling well, I begin to think that people may be worth bothering with, thus sickening myself even more.
As well as being a musician who is interested in autism spectrum disorders, I have unhealthy obsessions with Pokemon and Naruto.
Update again. Still single, and I may want to change that when hell freezes over. People cause stress and take me away from fun things like music, linguistics, neurology and logic puzzles. However, I am not averse to sexual encounters; in fact I rather enjoy them.

I am intelligent, creative, and curious
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I got my degree! I now have those all important letters after my name, those letters being BMus(Comp). I am awesome. I'm teaching music in the afternoons. About half the time I am contemplating suicide, but that's mainly due to boredom. Or to failure to live up to my ideals.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Music. Writing. Reading (noone makes a fuss about that anymore, they did when I was in preschool. :-( ) Pretty much anything that doesn't involve - motor skills (besides music, that is) - social skills - organisational skills

If my cognitive skills were as good as my motor skills, I'd be retarded, and if my motor skills were as good as my cognitive skills, I'd have the potential to be an Olympic athlete. But I'd probably be too disorganised to achieve that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Good question. Probably the fact that I'm usually the only person in a crowded room not making any effort to talk to anyone. Sometimes people will comment on my eyes or hair. The first thing I usually notice about myself is that I've walked into a wall. Again.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- Sci-fi, horror, cyberpunk, something that I'm not sure how to classify, philosophical fiction is the best term I can come up with for it, as well as any non-fiction that relates to my interests. I DETEST romance novels. They need to die in agony.

Movies: Memoirs of a Geisha Donnie Darko The Butterfly Effect Happy Feet

Foods: Chocolate Watermelon Hot chips Sushi

Music: For God's sake, I'm a professional musician. My tastes in music span 8+ centuries. At the moment, the pieces that I have on repeat are: Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata (played on the clarinet) Schumann's op.73 Fantasy Pieces. The music from the episode of Naruto where Naruto gets pissed off at Orochimaru (yeah, that's a rare thing...) and four of the nine tails come out. Nightwish: Moondance Nightwish: Sleeping Sun Beethoven: "Egmont" Overture.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home, on the computer.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to. You should avoid messaging me if: You are looking for a relationship. Yes, I am single. Yes, I am happy being single. You are looking for someone to cyber with. Cybersex is boring and unsatisfying.
