My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love my life, I frequently indulge in delicious food, fantastic friends and crazy adventures.

Proactive disclosure: I'm poly and have a serious someone in my life. While I'm an entirely open to fantastic new friends *and* the possibility of another lover/partner-in-crime/whatnot, if you are looking for someone to marry and have kids with, I'm not your gal.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living life large.

I travel, read, luxuriate in sunbeams and generally live a life of leisure.

In Halifax did FAduJour
A stately pleasure-dome decree.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Colouring within the lines.

Following directions, reading maps and generally not getting terribly lost/confused.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm always smiling. Seriously. Always.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Food, music, books I <3 pretty much anything :) However to be more specific:

Music: I especially like classic (pre-1980) rock and klezmer. Yarp, that's right, klezmer. Think ska but without lyrics and you've got a loose approximation of klezmer :)

Food, oh where to begin? For massive categories I love Indian, Mexican and sushi. I also love anything with garlic, olive oil and parmesan, so Italian food is fantastic. Best pizza I've eaten was from the grocery store!!?! below Termini station in Rome.

Books! Neil Gaiman, Nick Bantock, Sarah Waters, Kay Redfield Jamison are several of my favourite authors. For fiction I enjoy travel lit whether current or historic, historical fiction when I'm wanting something indulgent, and I enjoy medical/techno thrillers (Robin Cook, Michael Palmer, Ken Follet). I read a LOT of non-fiction, everything from human sexuality, gender, psychology, sociology, economics and medicine.

Television doesn't really exist in my world, and I am frequently too busy to watch movies, although I always enjoy the movies I do actually see. I gravitate towards independent and/or foreign films (think 'strange' :) and I'm biased in thinking that most anything subtitled trumps most anything Hollywood :D I'd name Triplets of Belleville and the Princess Bride as being two of my all-time favourite movies.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Bright colours, chocolate and books.
Plane tickets to anywhere.
Fabulous friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
World domination, delicious food and how to retire at 35.

I also spend a lot of time thinking about current (global) events and what adventures I'm embarking on next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Laughing. With delicious food and good people.
Or is that delicious people and good food?

Perhaps geeking out with a boardgame, or perhaps putting on an unusual outfit to go to an equally unusual event; both are worlds I inhabit frequently.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm fantastic :D

Also reserved yet very social, independent and mostly oblivious when it comes to people being interested (I assume *everyone* is friendly!!)
