My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well... it is complicated (as usual). I consider myself as a Jack of all trades and my university degree tries to tell me that I am actually master of one. Right now I am trying to cope with the fact that my plot for world domination has hit a couple of rough spots... trying to compensate. Let's see where this will lead to. Hopefully something will come up soon before I lose what little sanity I have left.
That is not even a real self-summary.... so maybe I should stop writing this summary and carry on with the one thing that has been giving me pleasure for 15 years (and hopefully will continue to do so for centuries to come): riding my bicycle. Meanwhile, why don't you enjoy the following:

(the poor guy at the panpipes ... has to work very hard and every small error is audible)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Figuring out how to achieve my long term goals. RIDING MY BIKE (a lot, 13532 km in 2013). Improving my French. Taking a first look into Portuguese.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
putting together bicycles, making big plans while lacking the cutthroat ambition that would be a great help realizing them ... I might be good at other things but they are inproper to brag with
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People rarely notice me (most of the time this can be a good thing... dating is not one of these times), except for my cynicism and crude humor. Recently I have been called melancholic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

don't really like books ... for language learning purposes I am using books by Agatha Christie, Georges Simenon and Ian Fleming.

Movies: all genres except horror/slasher, empirically I seem to be very fond of movies from the '60s, which were a great decade for film: the James Bond movies, spaghetti-westerns from Sergio Leone, the pink panther movies, gems like "Charade"or "Where eagles dare" and a whole bunch of other interesting movies I am omitting right now (like "Funeral in Berlin" or "Bullitt")

House MD (was once the best thing on TV), 30 Rock, Futurama, The Mentalist, Neues aus der Anstalt , That 70s Show (Episode: Happy Jack LOL!) , The West Wing , Modern Family , The Dukes of Hazzard (I got'em this time! :-)) , Boston Legal,, White Collar, les petits meurtres d'Agatha Christie, Justified, Community, Elementary, The Rockford Files

I am deeply into orchestral movie scores due to the wide range of styles they offer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A nice, sportive bicycle with mud guards, roads without cycle paths, good weather and the necessary time to ride my bike (and I am counting all of these as one thing).

Come to think of it, a list of SIX THINGS I COULD ALWAYS DO WITHOUT would probably be much more informative (people who drive, construct, sell or buy SUV's, Snow, Cold, the damned "Radwegbenutzungspflicht", big cities, people who think that being boring is a bad thing).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
As cliché as it sounds/reads: the future... ask me again in 6 months when things have developed. Recently: how I am going to be able to uphold my current level of riding my bicycle once the whole adult-life-routine has caught up with me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at home AND LOVING IT (I still have to change the location of the place called home to a place that I would love to call home)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am the smartest person I know, but then again I don't know that many people ;-).
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you want to go on a serious bike ride (2 to 3 hours or more). If you dislike Berlin and want to get away from here ASAP. If you see another reason to message me that I have not mentioned here.

Even though I also am looking for long term dating right now, with all the uncertainties of the near future, the focus is on short term things. If you can deal with that, go ahead and make my day (not meant in the original sense of the quote ;-) )
