Just about the only concrete belief that I hold is that you create your own life. Our actions and thoughts not only define who we are, but actively affect the world around us. I believe the only rational frame of mind is the realistically optimistic one, because I know that being positive invites positivity in one's life - and likewise for negativity.

I enjoy every moment I can of this life, because a moment not cherished is one gone to waste.

I grew up in a small town in the San Francisco bay area, went to college in Oregon, then came back. You really can't beat the bay. I'm really good at games - whether they be video games, board games, or puzzles - and I especially love strategy. I am unreasonably fascinated by fire, though I don't end up lighting that many things. I do, however, spin fire when I get the chance. I want to get involved with a fire arts group here in the bay, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I believe that everything has a rational explanation, and finding those explanations by interrogating the world is how one grows as a person.

I am smart, confident, and optimistic.

I just graduated from college, where I majored in Philosophy. It was my intention to go into law school after college, but the economy has forced so many in that direction that it's a losing bet right now. It's still on the table for my future plans, though. Right now I'm looking for work, potentially making use of my computer science minor in some kind of tech job. Philosophy doesn't have quite the real-world applicability, but there you go.

In the mean time, I'm enjoying being back in the bay area, and I'm looking to meet new, interesting people and do new, interesting things.

Given the fact that sight is the primary component of judgment, probably my appearance. After that, it'd probably be my mode and manner of speech. I tend to choose my words carefully, and make an effort to say exactly what I mean.

Books: My number one favorite is Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I'm currently reading Fragile things by the former author, and I'm a fan of the Discworld series by the latter. I'm also making by way through the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

Movies: Watchmen, The Usual Suspects, 10 Things I Hate About You, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Stranger than Fiction, and more.

Shows: Doctor Who! Also, Firefly and Game of Thrones.

Music: Anything melodic, really. 90% of everything is shit, whether it be pop, country, rap, rock or dubstep. Enjoying music is about finding the 10% that's awesome, regardless of genre.

Food: Delicious food. I love trying new things.

First and foremost, my friends. I value friendship above most everything else.
A close second would be my introspection. My friends aren't around all the time, and I've found the ability to converse with and entertain myself to be a valuable one.

Everything else is optional relative to my friends and my mind, though I would be sad if I lost my laptop.

Everything. I think about pretty much everything in my life, before and after it happens. The most prevalent topic of thought is my daily interactions with the people around me and the conversations we do and don't have.

Having some kind of fun. Sometimes it's a quiet evening with my closest friends, sometimes it's playing Super Smash Brothers in a huge groups, and sometimes it's partying and drinking at a friend's house with people I may or may not already know.

I'm not a very private person, but one thing I don't tell absolutely everyone is that I'm polyamorous. If you want to know what that means, feel free to ask. =P
