My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Friendly. Nerdy. Polyamorous. Bisexual. Optimistic. Silly. Happy.

All my favorite things fall in to one of a couple categories:

Things that let you move and chat: hiking, walking, kayaking, rollerblading, canoeing, biking, skiing (ok so you talk on the lift, close enough), dancing, horseback riding, renfaire/streetfaires/farmers markets/thrifting.

Things that let you fidget and talk: crafting, cooking, baking, gardening, board games.

Silly kid things: swings, sidewalk chalk, skipping, bubbles, trampolines, costumes, bubbles, face paint, playing pooh sticks, daisy chains, climbing trees.

I find a lot of people who get the first couple categories. And they are awesome people. If you get all three categories, I consider you My People.

And My People are so much more important to me than things.

I am trying to find some new friends or dates with whom to go and have adventures, try to get out of my shell. Please write me not only with the things I mention I like but any cool opportunity that you are into and want to tell me about and then share with me its awesomeness.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Questioning a lot of things I spent a lot of time thinking I had figured out. Exploring my contradictions.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Smiling
Being awkward
Making strange sounds, especially when surprised
Telling stories
MacGyvering stuff together
Being close, sharing what I have, my time, and my thoughts
Care taking
Staying up all night for no particular reason
The first things people usually notice about me

Quoting a friend: I am the sort whose appearance and manner convey an entirely inaccurate wholesomeness. As in, a lot of people that I meet are surprised when they first hear me curse or make a joke about dead babies, because for some reason I give off the impression that I bake cookies all day. So don't be fooled. I only bake cookies occasionally. ;)

Non-Fiction: Rivertown, Mini Farm, Daring Greatly, Thoughts & Feelings, Freakonomics, Sway.

Movies: Knights of Badassdom, Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, Beauty & the Beast, Rent, The Green Mile, Mulin Rouge, Casanova, Top Gun, Independence Day, Mr & Mrs Smith, Billy Elliot, Good Will Hunting, Braveheart, Joan of Arc, Fight Club, Memento, Dances with Wolves, The Last Unicorn, Pirates of the Caribean, The Sandlot, Amelie, Avengers, Frozen.

Shows: Firefly, West Wing, Cowboy Bebop, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, Heroes, Deep Space 9, Game of Thrones, Veronica Mars.

Music: I am not choosy. Oldies, Adult contemporary, swing and pop are my favorites because I love to sing along.

Food: I love food. I am the "anti-vegan" all the veggie foods vegans can't eat are my favorites: Cheese, eggs, yogurt, butter. Pie is next to godliness, though sushi, anything with raspberry cream, quiche, sweetened iced tea and fresh bread all get a special acknowledgement as well.

I love to cook and love to feed people. I refuse to buy bread and bake all my own. I hope to one day have the time and set up to raise my own chickens and grow much of my food from my own garden, not because I feel it would be "better" but because it would be fun.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good food
Companionship/Touch
Books
Glasses
Travel
Sunshine

Laughter, Singing, Kissing, Green growing things, Schenanigans and Cats
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How our thoughts, emotions and actions compuse who we are. How chemistry, electrical impulses, coincidence, conditioning, timing and the stories we tell ourselves interweave and inform these things.

About the complexity of poly and how it is bruising to my ego but good for my ability as a communicator and spiritual growth toward being a better person.

My relationships. How changeable life and personality are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out dancing, out for dinner or in playing video games, board games or hot tubbing with my chosen family. I would like it to be more varied and exciting, but there is not a ton of motivation since I really enjoy the defaults.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My partners have said that I am dominant and bratty. This is something that intrigues me to test further. IF you want to go this route with me, must be able to speak for yourself (no timid mice), like laughing and being uncomfortable.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You sense I am your sort of person. You know from above that you are My People.

We have a greater than 60% match and you have actually thoroughly filled out your profile so I know you're not a troll.

You have unusual interests you would like to share: fire dancing, entomology, preparing Ethiopian food, home chemistry (eg soap making), stealing ridiculous street signs, playing the ukulele... whatever your thing is. I haven't done any of the things listed in this paragraph, but I would do any of them and I bet I'll get into doing your thing at least once if you write me geeked and inviting.
