I am brilliant, original, and whimsical.

My Self-Summary

I'm a five-foot two artsy type. I love old time radio shows - especially ones concerning detectives. I own an unseemly amount of DVD's - I can almost guarantee that if you show me a movie I don't think I've seen, I'll still recognize at least one scene from it. I love working with my hands - building, sculpting, shaping objects into whatever I want to. I read incessantly, and love crosswords.

What I’m doing with my life

I went to school for a year, and decided I had better figure out what I wanted to do with my life before spending $50,000 a year. I'm working full time, I enjoy my job, and I'm saving up money in order to go back to school - I'll be majoring in education.

I’m really good at

non sequiturs. I once broke my arm playing tennis while wearing roller blades. No one believed it was broken, and I walked around with it for three days.

The first things people usually notice about me

Easy - the red hair. Followed by my smile.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: The Metallic Muse, The Black Lizard Big Book of Pulps, all Nero Wolfe books, all Sherlock Holmes books, The Nimrod Flipout, Harry Potter.

Movies: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Batman (all Batman Movies, starting from the 1943 serial), Deathtrap, Evil Dead II, Flash Gordon, House of Wax (the original), House on Haunted Hill (the original), Indiana Jones (original three), Iron Man, Jurassic Park, Monster Squad, Psycho, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Thing, Sherlock Holmes (all, and any), The Thin Man.

Music: Queen, David Bowie, The Ting Tings, Camera Obscura, Architecture in Helsinki, The Flaming Lips, Be Your Own Pet, The Gun Club, Mika, Scissor Sisters, Ok Go, Lily Allen, Karen O, The Boy Least Likely To, Feist, The Decemberists, Vampire Weekend, The Shins, Sam Cooke, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, The Pipettes, Belle and Sebastian, The Hot Toddies.

Food: Cheeseburgers, Waffles.

The six things I could never do without

1. Insulin. (I've got the diabetes.)
2. My sketchbook.
3. A book - preferably The Black Lizard Big Book of Pulps.
4. A toothbrush.
5. Craft wire.
6. My movies.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

the potential (of whatever building I happen to be in) for shelter from raptor attacks.

On a typical Friday night I am

hanging out, watching movies.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I dye my hair red - but I'm not telling you what color it really is.

You should message me if

you think we could have the same chemistry as Myrna Loy and William Powell.
