My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Truth is, I'm here because I work so much, that I don't have much time to go out and look for women the old fashioned way. I work third shift and Monday nights are my only day off.

A brief description about myself; I like to travel, I enjoy a good road trip. Last one took me to Athens, Georgia to visit my father's side of the family shortly after he passed away. I'm quite a geek; I see myself inventing something someday that'll revolutionize the way we do something (haven't figured it out yet). I'm a Trekkie and proud of it, you win bonus points if you know what "Resistance" is. I'm always in the mood for a good laugh. I can be embarrassing at times, you may not want to go out in public with me, lol. I see a lot of women on here posting that they want a "real man", I'm assuming they mean more than anatomically. I attribute my "being a man" to my father. He taught me the importance of treating a woman right and with respect. That abuse of any kind is unacceptable.

As for the woman I'm looking to date, she must have a great sense of humor, I can be serious when it's warranted, but I prefer to find humor in as much of life as possible. Intelligence is a turn on, someone I can debate politics with or discuss quantum theory would be great. I'm looking for someone who's in it for the long haul, eventual happily ever after. I'm ready to settle down and start a family. I'm not opposed to dating someone who has children already.

Finally, as you may have noticed from my pics, I'm not a small man. Don't let this discourage you. I'm overweight, but I'm not on any prescriptions I assume because I stay active. I did a half marathon charity walk a couple years ago, I plan on completing a full marathon next summer and any others in between, care to join me?

Any questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I am an Assistant Manager at Fastrac Markets, though I'm hoping something better will come along. I'm also on a mission for personal improvement. I'm a big guy, no denying that. But I wasn't always big. In high school I could run a 5 minute mile, dunk a basketball and enjoyed downhill skiing. I'd like to get myself back in shape to where I once was if not better.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...random facts. I store some of the oddest things in my head and have a tenancy to blurt them out when something comes up that relates to it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...is my lack of style. I'm not a stylish person. I dress comfortable. Shorts and a t-shirt, year round. I can dress for success when needed, but this is my preferable attire.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm more of a magazine reader; Wired, Astronomy, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics

Movies: Comedy, Action or Horror. My preference is either a Mel Brooks classic or Science Fiction, I'm also a Trekkie

Shows: Mostly Crime dramas and comedies.

Music:I'll listen to just about anything, though I prefer live local music

Food: I'm a burger joint person, no not fast food, a place that can put out a nice juicy flavorful burger, also seafood.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family
Friends
Car
Employment
Food
Oxygen
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...what I'll be like in 30 years, a grandfather hopefully.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...working. I work 3rd shift, so my one night off during the week is Monday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I rent a room. After losing my high paying job and my fiance, I've been moving quite a bit trying to find a permanent residence. I've been where I am for nearly a year. While my landlord is a bit of a pervert, he cares for and loves his family very much and even invites me to holiday dinners as I'm on the outs with my family, he says I'm part of his family.

If you know the difference between Star Trek, Star Wars and Stargate and can accept that I like them all, then brownie points for you!
