Would you rather be omnipotent (all-powerful)...? |
Would you rather be omnipotent (all-powerful) or omniscient (all-knowing)? Assume you can't have both.
- Omniscience - give me knowledge.
- Omnipotence - give me power.
These questions are getting tough to answer. Not because I can't decide what to choose, but because what I choose is not for the reason I think people expect. In this case, I would choose "All Powerful". Not because I want power, really, but because I don't want to know everything. I can't imagine how bored I'd be knowing everything. Much of my day is spent aimlessly looking up information because I'm curious. I enjoy learning new things. To know everything would be awful. At least if you're all powerful, you can opt not to use your power. If you're all knowing, you can't choose not to know everything.
