My Self-Summary
Well, I'm just a guy trying to understand the world around him. If
I could have my way, I'd spend my entire life studying (so far so good he he
he), not because I'm running from the "real world" but because
learning
new things is part of a balanced diet. I really enjoy meeting
interesting people, as long as we have compatible characters, the
reason for which might possibly be that any old story is new to a
stranger. My younger years were extremely awkward which I know had
a deep impact on who I am today, which is both a blessing and a
curse. I have a terrible aversion for conceited, selfish and/or
intellectually lazy people.
I did a few years in mechatronics (a mechanical engineering specialization which is basically an hybrid between mechanical and electrical engineering) but will now pursue my studies in computer science/cognitive science. The processes of the human mind is, to me, a fascinating subject that finds uses in everything.

But really, to *do*, really? I am at the mercy of the universe, and what I have done, am doing and will do is not up to me, as defined by a consciousness, as the latter really isn't what it appears to be.
To judge a person by their actions is akin to passing judgement on an inanimate object. Define motivation as a whole, and you will not only understand me, but you will understand all there is to understand.
If you understand this, congratulations, we're both crazy.

The very nature of the term "artificial intelligence"
is to me, quite revolting within its commonly accepted meaning. A
mind, to me, is a mind, it is neither artificial, nor natural. One
day, man may create a mind that equates his own, and one day, he
may create a mind that will exceed his own, and should that dream
ever come to realization, inevitability will do what it does best,
and that is, to be inevitable. The "artificial" mind, will
eventually create a better mind, which in turn, will create a
superior mind, and just like that, evolution shall take a new turn, going
from the semi-random selection of certain genes to an intellectual
evolution.
Side note, evolution is obsolete, it may have worked well in a time when humans had to fend for themselves, and the alpha, who was able to provide, would propagate his genes, but the whole ordeal is now meaningless, and as a matter of fact, quite counter-productive, a concept overly simplified but still quite clearly demonstrated in the movie idiocracy.
