My Self-Summary

'lo I'm at the University of Utah studying philosophy. I love talking about things and thinking about things. I've been a vegetarian for just over a year now who has tried (and failed) a few times to go completely vegan. What else... I enjoy creative writing (I threw up a few short stories in the journal thing), B Movies, music (lots of various genres), walking, martial arts, role-playing, art, and science. So yeah, my interests are kind of scattered.

I'm not the most extroverted person (actually kind of shy) so starting conversations is kind of hard for me. Though once I get going I find it difficult to shut up.

Finally, I think life's too short to be taken seriously.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm going to school fulltime. I'm doing two jobs: I tutor writing and I'm doing research in philosophy (it's kind of scary that they're paying me to think--though occupation: philosopher sounds kind of cool). As well, I'm studying for the GRE and LSAT. I'm also into general geekery.

I’m really good at

I'm pretty good at writing, both academic and creative. I'd like to one day publish something.

The first things people usually notice about me

I look young for my age. They say it will come in handy later, but I don't think it works like that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Authors: Oscar Wilde, Jim Butcher, Stephen King, Kafka, Neil Gaiman, and so on. I like a lot of books.
Music: The Beatles, The Velvet Underground, Skinny Puppy, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Pixies, David Bowie, and so on. It's difficult to categorize completely... Everything from classical to industrial and hardcore punk.
Movies: Repo! The Genetic Opera, Labyrinth, Stanley Kubrick stuff, and so on.
Food: Vegetarian stuff mostly. Preferably the kind that isn't trying too hard to taste like meat.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Stuff. But things mostly.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either hanging out with friends, reading, doing school stuff, or procrastinating.
