• I thought by 27 I'd have more of my life figured out than I do. This is a fact that bothers me some days more than others. For the most part, I'm learning to take things a day at a time and laugh at the absurdity of it all.
• I was born and raised in good ol' Snellville, GA - "Where Everybody's Somebody" (really, I couldn't make that up).
• I attended Florida State University for both undergrad and grad school. Go 'Noles!!!
• I joined Teach for America in a misguided yet genuinely heartfelt attempt to "make a difference" and "save the world."
• I'm currently working in sales operations for an industrial supply company in Atlanta. Despite the fact that I always swore I'd never work in an office, I find myself enjoying the business world so much that I'm considering pursuing a MBA.
• I can come across as a "dumb blonde" at times, but I'm really a nerd. I love learning and could spend all day in a bookstore or library.
• When I was a kid I wanted to be a juror when I grew up. Yeah, I used to think it was an actual job. And yes, I really am that weird.
• My favorite book is In Cold Blood by Truman Capote.
• I have a dog named Lily and a cat named Cali. They are my babies.
• I believe in God and I support gay marriage. I hate when people use religion to justify discrimination.
• The older I get, the more liberal I become (much to my uber-conservative grandfather's dismay). I realize this is backwards from most people and I'm okay with that.
