I live WAY on the west coast, but I will be happy to correspond with people from anywhere.

My main interest is helping people who are in need, particularly in developing nations. I care about the homeless and others in need here in the USA, also.

I am a Christian and my relationship with Jesus Christ is very important to me. The further I have walked with the Lord, the more I have come to see myself as I really am and not as I wish I were, helping me be less judgmental of others.

I am involved in nonprofit work here and abroad, especially in India.

What do I look like? Probably not as beautiful as you wish, but not as bad as you might fear: a little better than average for my age. I will email it a photo if you want after we start conversing.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books: nonfiction, particularly biographies. I enjoy reading very much.

Movies: nonfiction or docudramas. My favorite is probably Schindler's List.

Music: Classical: symphonies, piano or violin solos, string quartets. I also like saxophones and drums, and enjoy some blues/jazz, but wouldn't want a steady diet of it. Christian inspirational/worship music helps me express my love for God.

Food: I really enjoy salads, Ethiopian and Indian cuisines. I also like berries of all kinds, figs, honeydew, eggplant, artichoke hearts, okra......

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

I guess it is easy to grow dependent on things. I would sure miss my computer and a good Internet connection if I had to do without them. I would REALLY miss my glasses. And I don't like going barefoot so I need my shoes - well, all my clothes, for that matter! And my toothbrush - I would miss it even more than a hairbrush.

Hmmm.... My desk is messy. And if I clean it, it only stays clean a few minutes before it is covered with papers, again. So I have pretty much given up on cleaning it until the papers are so high I can't see the monitor anymore. I know, it's a bad situation.
