My self-summary
As a Midwesterner who spent a long time on the East Coast, I haven't fully acclimated to California. No matter how much yoga I do, my innate sarcastic streak will always be there.

Also I miss snow.

I like books, and museums, and general wandering around.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as an office monkey by day, working on my writing by night. Spending too much time on the internet in between.
I’m really good at
random historical trivia, procrastination, and just barely missing the bus.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to read. I could not possibly pick just a few favorite books. Currently I am reading about Plantagenets.

Authors: Charlotte Bronte, Neil Gaiman, Lois McMaster Bujold, Sergei Lukyanenko, Jorge Luis Borges, Raymond Chandler, Peter S. Beagle.

TV/Movies: sci-fi, action, generalized cheesiness. My new favorite TV show is Sleepy Hollow ... so there's that. It would be safe to say that my taste is not particularly discriminating.

Music: Florence + the Machine, the Xx, Mumford & Sons, M83 but also Journey and Led Zeppelin and Mozart.

Food: also lots. But especially nachos.
The six things I could never do without
- Sleep
- Books
- Internets (Keeps me connected to friends & family.)
- Coffee (I have tried. I have failed.)
- Comfortable shoes (I walk a lot.)
- Glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
a lot of trivial things. Whatever book I'm reading. Outlines for potential stories. Whether or not there truly is good gluten-free beer in the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
chilling out at home. It's not that I don't enjoy socializing, but Fridays tend to be my 'too tired to do much' night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I lip-synch to Heart's "Alone" whenever it comes up on my iTunes.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You'd like to meet for a cup of coffee or a drink, basically. Of you like hanging out and watching goofy-bad movies or heading to art museums.
