I'm also constantly digging through history books. It's empowering to know the cause's and why's of things.
Movies I could probably cover one of every category but I will say some of my favorite are Cinema Paradiso, The Fall, Bronson, The Life Aquatic, The New Sherlock Holmes movies, actually just about anything Guy Richie, The Shining, Big Fish, The Thing, Poltergeist, Gremlins 2, Flash Gordon, Naked Lunch, They Live, 2001 Space Odyssey, Back to the Future, High Fidelity, Djareeling Unlimited, Thank You for Smoking, Adaptation, Moonrise Kingdom, 12 Monkeys, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation, Definitely Maybe, Inception, Memento, The Life of Pi and many others who I haven't thought to write down yet.
Music I usually listen to more of a blues rock sound like the Black Keys or the Greenhornes, but I'm just about open to anything other than screamo. If not my own cd collection of the Keys, Will Brennan, Howling Wolf, and Radiohead, and I'm usually scanning the channels between classic rock and top 40, with the occasional stop on some of my country favorites. I think my favorite song of all time is Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky.
TV I've always loved Dr. Who. I've probably seen every episode from the old series and I'm working my way through the new one under my own 3 season behind rock. Other good ones I've seen are American Horror Story, 6 Feet Under, Breaking Bad, Workaholics, Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Recreation, Archer, Futurama, Junkyard Wars, Mythbusters, Star Trek, MXC, and a lot more I just can't think to write now.
Food I love American soul foods and southern cooking, Thai, Chinese stir fry, and Italian.
