Talking about yourself on a dating site seems very awkward for me. I'm not a perfect human. I'm pretty impulsive, emotional, and pessimistic at times. I have a lot of emotional baggage due to my life experience but I think hardship builds character. I have a passion for film, my dream is to one day screenwrite and direct movies that inspire and motivate people. I can go on for days about it so ask me if you are interested. I have a lot of flaws but at my best I can be very caring, funny, charismatic, and optimistic about life. I'm a very down to earth guy and loyalty is a very big thing for me. I've very perceptive and so I often see the ugly side of life. I want to find a girl who can still believe in good in people. Who can stay optimistic despite all the terrible things that happen in this world. A girl who can have intelligent and deep conversations with me. A girl who knows how to be serious but who also knows how to have fun. I want someone who is caring, thoughtful, and has a great amount of empathy for others. Someone who can appreciate the little things in life. Someone who realizes that so many people in this world have so little and we should learn to be grateful for what we do have.

Pursuing a career in Chemical Engineering (my research focus is alternative energy in biofuels) while doing film and writing on the side. I am a huge foodie and I spend almost all my money on amazing food and going out with friends. I'm trying to make the most out of this short life we have but I also want to make a difference in the world.

I love cooking. I learned a great deal from the best cook in the world ( my mom ). I enjoy singing, I think I'm fair at it. Im very logic oriented but I'm also very in tune with other peoples emotions. I am very perceptive and I think I am a good judge of character. As a result I am very selective with the people I choose to associate myself with and I have a very close set of amazing friends rather than hundreds of shallow acquaintances. I believe I have a lot of common sense and can give very good objective advice to those around me, however I'm pretty irrational when it comes to making decisions for myself.. Unfortunately.

Personality wise, People tell me that I'm very passionate. Physically? I think I look young for my age.

Books: Predictably Irrational. The Perks of being a Wallflower. The Count of Monte Cristo. Cloud Atlas. Blue Moon Rising. Hawk & Fisher Series. Flowers of Algernon.

Movies: Gattaca, Crash, Good Will Hunting, Shawshank Redemption, The Butterfly Effect, 500 days of Summer, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Citizen Kane, Annie Hall, The Prestige, All Disney and Pixar Films. This list could go on forever. I love movies that provide a positive message to society. Movies that provide social or political commentary. Movies that allow us to live vicarious through the characters and gain experiences that we otherwise would never have. Movies that stray away from conventional Hollywood endings but still inspire others. Movies that arent just all about money, sex, and power. I can enjoy a well done comedy film but I generally prefer movies with depth and complex characters.

Music: All music..from mainstream to very obscure indie stuff. I especially love jazz... And I've been listening to a lot of classical recently. I love the way piano, cello, and violin sound. Ludovico Einaudi is one of my favorite composers. Definitely check him out if you've never heard of him.

Food: Literally EVERYTHING. I think sitting down and enjoying a nice meal with friends and family or a significant other is one of the purest pleasures in the world. I love trying new things and I can eat anything that is made well.
