I am auspicious, articulate, and alliterating.

My Self-Summary

I'm Richard. I just got my film degree in May from UNT. I like to write, see movies, hang out with my friends, and create anything for pleasure or purpose. I'm very creative and can't live my life without an outlet for it. "Make movies or die" is my slogan.

I am passionate about politics, filmmaking, underwater commemorative spoon bending, and horse repair!

What I’m doing with my life

I own a video production company, but have a day job for the sake of security, at least for now.

I do a lot of competitions and freelance work in the filmmaking field. I'm too busy to meet new people, hence OKC.

If you would like to be regaled with awesome screenplays I'm working on, you let me know. If you've never been regaled before, bring a poncho.

I’m really good at

I'm really good at writing, editing video/special effects, building and destroying computers, and fighting crime. Not like bank robberies, but littering, things like that.

In terms of things that might matter to you, dear reader, I'm really good at making people laugh, deciphering moral quandaries, having my friends' backs, and being worth a damn.

The first things people usually notice about me

My incredibly attractive elbows. I saw you lookin'. And my hair, apparently. People find it delightfully fluffy, and some have even bought my hair a card and present for my birthday. At least, that is what I am told when presented with shampoo.

After that, it's the crap that comes out of my mouth. My mind seems to wander unsupervised to some interesting locales.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite Book: 1984. I love it so much I refuse to list other books as they may dilute its value.

Favorite Movie: dear lord, too many choices. Memento, Usual Suspects, The American President, The Prestige, all the comic book movies excluding Batman and Robin, X-Men 3 and Spider-man 3 (and of course the first Hulk), Children of Men, the Mission Impossible films, the Pixar films, most of the Fincher films, the Shymalan films, except for the Happening (it hurt to see how the mighty have fallen), The Professional, the Kubrick films, What Dreams May Come, the Matrix trilogy, THE Star Wars trilogy, Tony Scott's stuff, What Dreams May Come, Pi and the Fountain, The Way of the Gun, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Amelie, The Arrival, Basic, Enemy at the Gates, Scorsese's stuff, Speilberg's stuff (cept Indy 4), Wes Anderson's stuff, Mystic River, The Godfather Part 1, The Dark Knight, Primer

Favorite TV: Lost, 30 Rock, The Holy Whedon Triumverate ( Buffy / Angel / Firefly), The X-Files, Scrubs, Futurama, Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Entourage, The Big Bang Theory (give it a chance, team, it's worth it), and Alias (haven't gotten a hold of season 5 yet, don't spoil it) How I Met Your Mother, and Dollhouse has become a promising investment

Favorite Music: Our Lady Peace, Snow Patrol, anything that makes me feel like the world can get better

Favorite Food: Chicken Al Fredo, other derivatives of chicken

The six things I could never do without

1. My Friends
2. My Mind
3. My iPhone (keeps me from losing my friends or my mind)

S'about it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I spend a lot of time thinking about people. Too many people suffer in this world, and we as a nation need to help those that cannot help themselves. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and the one.

I spend a lot of time thinking about creating something that others will be moved by. I don't seek the fame, but I seek the shared experience of enjoying a moving work of art. I think the level of excitement of receiving an Oscar would be met with an equal feeling of dread of having to accept the award in front of other people. Doesn't mean I don't want one though ;-).

I want six.

On a typical Friday night I am

My hands seem to be in a lot of projects. No schedule is in stone though, so I can find myself at dinner and a movie. As addicted as I am to my work, a shared meal with a kind companion brings me more pleasure and more peace.

Lately, things have slowed down, since half of our film crews are still finishing their degrees. So I have the time, you just have to let me know you're out there!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

One time, I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.

You should message me if

Clearly, you should message me if my profile appeals to you, or if I am appealing to you in general.

I like people that are involved in current affairs and/or movies, since I have a passion for both.
