I am charming, sophisticated, and alpha.

My Self-Summary

I am a successful filmmaker and television executive running the programming dept. for a network that you have probably heard of but never watch. (More on that later.) I am stable and I have my life together.

I am a major film geek. I love classic rock, jazz and indie music -- I'm currently enjoying Fleet Foxes, Kings of Leon and Blitzen Trapper. I love the art of filmmaking, and two of my documentaries are distributed and in major stores.

I love weekend getaways to nice hotels, BBQs, fine dining, concerts, movies, film festivals and the beach.

I have a great family that I am very close to. I follow current events religiously, I love to read, and I consider myself pretty sophisticated and intellectual. I am driven and brimming with confidence.

All-in-all, if we meet, your first thought will probably be "Thank God he's normal."

What I’m doing with my life

I moved here from LA a couple of years ago to take over as the Executive Director of a programming dept for a national television network based down here. I also produce a few shows for them and direct commercials. I recently joined the Producers Guild. I go to the Emmys every other year. I very rarely get sent hookers or cocaine.

I'm also a filmmaker and my latest documentary is in wide release in major stores (Best Buy, Netflix, etc.).

I bought a house this year and I rent-out another one that I inherited.

I'm an adult and I have my life together, but I'm also a lot of fun!

I’m really good at

Baking, writing and driving long distances.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have really blue eyes.

I also dress well. To paraphrase a great line from The Wire:

"You know what they call a guy who knows a lot about clothes?"
"Yeah. AN ADULT."

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury, The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Gonzo.

Movies: I like almost everything by Hitchcock, Wes Anderson, PT Anderson, the Coen Bros., Woody Allen... I enjoy a good popcorn blockbuster as much as a foreign classic.

Music: Pretty much any rock from the 60's and 70's, INDIE, jazz, classical...

Food: I make a great chocolate chip cookie and a fantastic apple pie. I like In 'N Out, Bob's Big Boy and anything my dad grills. An expensive steak dinner over candlelight is tops, though.

The six things I could never do without

"THINGS":

iPod Nano, my Egyptian sheets, my video editing system, Tivo, and Aveda shampoo and skin-care supplies (for the metro in me), great grammar and punctuation skills.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What book I'm going to read next. What movie I should see this weekend. How will my Sun Devils do this weekend. What else I want to do with my life.

On a typical Friday night I am

I moved to Temecula almost 2 years ago after living in one of my favorite cities on Earth, and frankly there isn't much to do here at night.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I watch Project Runway. And Ghost Hunters.

You should message me if

You read. You have a sense of humor. You're creative at something (anything - music, writing, acting, art... knitting). You're over the "must get wasted with your girlfriends every weekend" phase. I'm not here to play; I'm definitely looking for something long-term.

(Honestly, I think most guys are kind of douchebags, so good luck to you here. I'm humble, but I know I have a lot to offer.)
