My self-summary
Humm.. I tend to be too analytic for my own good, I'm told. But I'm
convinced that when I meet the right person, he or she will
understand and we will have very stimulating and mutually enjoyable
conversations. I like the beach (miss it, grew up in CA),
camping around here (lots
of beautiful places here), being around and
riding horses,
computer gaming,
cooking, or anything to do
with
animals. I
love good food and intelligent conversation. I am not a
vegetarian yet, but I
eat a lot of vegetarian food, and very little meat, so I am
seriously thinking about making the leap.
What I'm doing with my life
I work on a computer all day in banking, doing excel sheets,
working on mainframe systems, etc. I've been there for 6 years and
I'm ready for something new. I've been selling Avon for the past 9
months, in my spare time. I enjoy Avon because it helps me stretch
myself (I am somewhat shy by nature), and meet new people. I am
looking for an opportunity to work on a
horse ranch, since working with
horses is a
lifelong dream of mine. Other than that, I have a six year old son,
who is the love of my life, so I'm just enjoying him and trying to
raise him to be the best man he can become.
I'm really good at
Communicating. Hopefully you are too! I would love to meet that
person who I can stay up all nite talking too, never tiring of each
other's company. I also think I'm pretty good at
gardening,
cooking, and
fish keeping.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
The first thing that people notice about me in my height (I am very
[tall for a woman, 5'11". I have also been told that have
incredible blue eyes.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Recently I have been reading The Neanderthal Parallax by Robert J
Sayer. I am impressed with him as a scifi writer who did a lot of
research on human archeology, before he even tried to write a scifi
book with no tie at all to reality. I used to read the classics
alot, then went through a reading self help phase. Now am enjoying
a mixture of fiction and books that generally tell me more about
the world around me. I just started a book called "Saving Darwin"
about the conficts between science and religion about creation vs
evotion. Very interesting. Favorite music: I like alternative and
techo, some hard rock but not like death metal.. Favorite movies:
the terminator series (LOVE
Linda Hamilton), Total
Recall,
David
Lynch movies, like Lost Highway, Muhullan Drive, and both the
Wild Orchid movies, Mad Maxx, and in general anything
sci-fi,
fantasy, or drama. I don't watch TV
very often, but the one show that I can't get enough of is
Lost. Foodwise, I try
to keep it healthy. I like mexican, itallian, american, and
vegetarian. That being said, I don't eat our all that often, for
obvious reasons of trying to keep it healthy.
The six things I could never do without
I think it's best to learn to be happy in any circumstance and try
not to get too attached to anything in this life. That being said,
the things that I am most attached to are: my son, human contact,
food, shelter, intellectual stimulous of some sort, hope. Sorry to
name off the obvious, LOL. Clothing came to mind, but if I was
stranded on a desert island alone, I'm thinking that clothing
wouldn't be my top concern (LOL).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, what I want to do/be "when I grow up", the past,
regrets I have as well as good memories, people and situations that
I know of. From time to time I like to read
self help books or listen to tapes,
because they give me other, more productive, things to think about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Maybe about 70% of the time, I am home with my son, relaxing,
cleaning house, doing something with him, or vegging on the
computer. The other 30% of the time, I might get out, socialize,
maybe drink, maybe not.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
Spirituality
means a lot to me. I have been a Christian and I have been a pagan
(nature based religion). I'm not really sure where I stand with
that right now; at the moment and just kind of disillusioned in
this area. I guess you would say that I am truth seaker and can't
accept much blindly anymore, not without examining all the
evidence, and being at peace with all the aspects of a belief
system. I hope that you can understand and respect that. I believe
that spirituality is one thing that is very important to share in a
relationship. I hope that whoever I end up with, we will find the
right path together. It could mean that I am wasting my time by
trying to find someone before I have resolved these issues. But we
shall see. :)
You should message me if
I am looking for you if you are honest, brainy (even
nerdy!), humorous, phycially
attractive, gentle, spontaneous, have a steady job and are able to
support yourself, have dreams and goals for the future, like doing
things outdoors, like animals, like
Renaissance Faire, consider
yourself "deep", walk to the beat of a different drum, care about
the plight of less fortunate people, like children. You don't have
to be all of the above, but if you are at least a few of these, it
would be good!
