My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Nick is the name.

No, my username isn't a reference to the killed-too-soon show. It predates the show by a good bit. But that doesn't mean I don't like Firefly! It's a shame that it was cancelled so quickly.

I'm going off on a tangent, excuse me.

So about me. I'm an artist first and foremost. I've spent every year of my life since second grade working towards the eventual goal of operating my own animation studio and every day brings me a little closer.

I'm passionate about art, animation, and technology. It stands to reason that video games are therefor a big part of my life. I was trying at one point to get into the games industry and still may again one day...

Personality-wise, I can be sarcastic at times, though I've toned that down drastically over the years because of the amount of people that just don't 'get' sarcasm. I can be slightly apathetic or indecisive when I find myself content, but it doesn't mean I don't have drive. I'm getting bored of trying to analyze myself though, so let's move on, shall we?

On a rather different note, I have to point out that communication is kind of a huge deal in friendship or in a relationship. Seriously, if you can't learn to open up in time, what's the point? You're only going to have superficial friends and end up alone in the end.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm two years out of college now and I'm dealing with the debt that has accrued over the years. Yes, that means I'm living with a parent. For some reason, that's a deal breaker to some people, but it's the most economical solution at the moment.

As for my job, I do freelance video editing and just landed a job doing cell phone repairs.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being tall. I'm surprisingly exceptional at that.

Art, whether it be digital or physical. It better be, after all, since I'm making a career out of it.

I enjoy helping people, so I'd venture to say that I'm pretty good at that, too. I'm very much an empathetic individual and try to make myself available any time a friend needs comfort.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Most people have to mention my height the first time they meet me.

Other people take notice of my hair apparently. A friend of a friend refers to me as "your friend with the nice hair" when bringing me up in conversation. I imagine this may not come up as much since I got most of it chopped off, though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Alas, I haven't read books for quite some time now save for the occasional college textbook. It's not that I dislike books either. Perhaps I spend so much time online reading between blogs or news articles that the magic of books has eluded me.

Some of my favorite movies include:
-Scott Pilgrim
-Children of Men
-Dark Knight Trilogy
-Fifth Element
-Looper
And plenty of others. I have a very broad range of tastes when it comes to movies. Oh! Awful horror movies are the best, too, just for the sheer laugh-factor.

I have a new obsession with Guardians of the Galaxy. I wish I had all the money in the world to throw at that movie.

As far as shows go, I watch a lot of whatever comes on either TNT or USA. Mostly crime dramas I guess, but I love cartoons too even though I don't watch them like I used to. Currently, some of the shows that catch my attention the most are:
-Dexter
-The Walking Dead
-Sherlock
-Face Off
-Psych

Music is another area where I have a broad range of tastes. Though I listen to a lot of what you'd probably consider alternative rock, I like a lot of rock in general. I like more melodic music I suppose, not necessarily some of the more chaotic pound-drums-and-cymbals-randomly punk stuff that's out there. If I had to pick some bands out of a hat, they'd probably include:
-Darling Thieves
-Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
-Papa Roach
-The Classic Crime
-Poets of the Fall

And food? I love food. A friend of mine jokes with me that while some people stop in every clothes store on the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD, we have to stop at every food stand. I really enjoy trying new things, especially when it comes to different cultural dishes that stand apart from your typical American cuisine. Mexican is among my favorites. Nine times out of ten though, I go for chicken dishes.

It should be worth noting that I'm also a gamer. About the only console I don't own is an Xbox One. Some of my recent favorites include The Last of Us, Mario Kart 8, and Infamous Second Son. The Mass Effect trilogy holds a special place in my heart, but Chrono Trigger will probably always top my list. If you love games, we'll get along great.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Close friends
-Humor
-Art
-Nature
-Good food
-And Sleep (though I attempt to prove otherwise on a fairly regular basis)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm at in life and where I'm going.

About how small we are when looking up at the stars and gazing out into the vastness of the universe.

About how amazing nature can be while looking out over the landscape or watching the lightning and the rain.

My mind wanders and dreams of every new adventure and makes me wish I wasn't held back by the silly constraints of jobs and money.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a typical Friday night, I'm probably home, on the internet. That's about as exciting as it gets.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm kind of fresh out of a long term relationship. I'm a pretty open person, so just ask about whatever if you really want to know.

Also, my match questions are so horribly outdated but I don't feel like making a new account. Don't take it for gospel.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–28
  • Near me
  • For new friends

You read my profile and anything I typed is something you could hold a conversation about.

Or, you know, if you just want to.

Also, damn girls... Clean out your inboxes. I'm forever having OKC try to bribe me into paying to send you a message and I'm not cool with that.
