My self-summary
I'm an ambitious, sarcastic, creative, inquisitive, and energetic person who likes adjectives a lot.

I am not photogenic.
What I’m doing with my life
Theater. I'm a director, designer and actor. I also do performance art. It's not as weird as it sounds. (Yes it is.)

My job-that-pays-me-money is working as a copywriter for a startup company that sells vintage clothing online. I actually really love it, which is a big relief after a string of super-lame survival jobs.
I’m really good at
Trivia. Seriously. It is my dearest wish to be on Jeopardy.

Also, I'm pretty amazing at Mario Kart...but ONLY on the N64. What can I say? I love that weird three-pronged controller.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair, maybe? I have a lot of it. Also, I gesture a lot when I talk, and my smile is really wide.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I majored in literature, so I have an undeniable soft spot for all of those books written by dead white dudes. Also, "A Song of Ice and Fire". I read all five books in a three-month time span.

I truly believe that TV is in a golden age right now; there are so many quality shows. "Breaking Bad" is perfection, and I will not hear any arguments to the contrary. I also love "Mad Men", "Louie", "Portlandia", "Arrested Development" (binge-watching Season 4 is how I plan to spend my Memorial Day weekend), and, of course, "Game of Thrones".

As far as music goes, if it plays on your typical classic rock FM radio station, then I probably like it. (Except for, like, "Sweet Home Alabama". Sorry, Southerners, but I just can't with that song. Try not to hold it against me.) But I'm looking to expand my horizons in terms of contemporary music, so it would be great to meet someone who can introduce me to new stuff.
The six things I could never do without
-Coffee (for real- I get headaches if I don't at least have a cup in the morning).
-Good food- I'm a picky eater by nature, but I'm making a real effort to push beyond my comfort zone, and I have some great foodie friends who have made it their mission to get me to be more fearless when it comes to eating. I also really like to cook.
-Good wine...and, increasingly, good beer. I'll be honest, I'm becoming a bit of a beer snob as I learn more about it (not to say that I don't enjoy a PBR or an Amstel Light here or there).
-Books (actual, physical books...I haven't been able to get into e-readers yet. Reading on a screen just doesn't feel the same to me).
-Hair elastics/bobby pins (if you meet me and see my Rapunzel-like hair in person, you'll understand why).
-A notebook and a pen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the use of media in live performance. Also, places I want to go and stuff I want to eat.
On a typical Friday night I am
In rehearsal or out with friends or making SVU marathons on Netflix (I like to make themes for mine...like "Doctor Hwang" or "Episodes Where Olivia Bursts Into Tears" or...and these are the best..."Episodes Where Elliot Loses His Shit On a Perp") or some combination of the three.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm afraid of moths and butterflies. I don't like the way they move. You know those butterfly houses they have at the zoo, where you can go in and stand there while butterflies fly around loose and land on you and stuff? I went in ONE time as a child, and I still have nightmares about it.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You like to read and drink beer and hang on rooftops and seek out bars with fantastic jukeboxes. And you should probably like Brooklyn.

You should message me if you'd be interested in checking this place out: http://www.yelp.com/biz/t%C3%B8rst-brooklyn
I'm super intrigued, and none of my friends are into beer enough to care about going.

And I know this is kind of cliche...but I'm a HUGE fan of proper grammar and well-constructed sentences. Semicolons make me swoon. So. For whatever that's worth.
