My self-summary
It's never easy telling you what I think you should know, because you'll find interesting the stuff I don't mention or the stuff I do mention might seem immaterial to you making your decision on whether to meet me.
I enjoy doing all the fun stuff this town and world has to offer. At home, I love attending panel discussions, movies, museums, concerts, urban scavenger hunts, and anything else out of the ordinary. I love having stories to tell.
My weekends are spent with a trip to the Farmer's Market and I eat as healthy as possible. Much of what I buy, I then cook up at home for good eats throughout the week. I'm all about the Nutri-bullet right now. (I'd like someone to cook for. Soups, desserts, cinnamon sweet potato fries, anyone?) I exercise 4-5 times a week (though I'm nursing a shoulder injury now, so it's down to hiking).
An ex-girlfriend once summed me up nicely saying I'm "silly, yet deeply intelligent." I am optimistic and try not to sweat the small stuff.
I'm looking for something real. I want someone I can laugh with, someone who can make me think, but someone whose clothes I can't keep from ripping off and someone who wants to do the same to me... in the proper setting, of course. I'm looking for marriage and kids someday (not tomorrow).
What I’m doing with my life
Living the life that I've wanted to live, on my own terms. I'm a writer and have had several books published, have sold a screenplay, a blog on a major website, and keep churning out material.
I am also doing some acting and voiceover acting just to keep things interesting.
I’m really good at
Writing witty, humorous pieces, listening, remembering the little things, useless knowledge, cooking, giving massages that will make your knees buckle.
The first things people usually notice about me
It depends on who you are, but people might first notice my voice, my red cheeks, or my friendly demeanor. Judge for yourself. It may be something else to you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't read many books completely, but start many non-fiction reads. Though Dave Barry and Alan Zweibel's book "Lunatics" was unbelievably good! I'm more interested in absorbing as much information as possible from a variety of sources. I feel the information will come in handy someday. My movie and music tastes are eclectic and may seem contradictory (there's that word again), but I love movies like "Anchorman," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Jerry Maguire," and bands like Dave Matthews Band, the Eagles, Jack Johnson, James Taylor, etc. Food, I try to eat healthy, but chase almost every meal with a piece of chocolate on it. It helps! ;)
The six things I could never do without
getting news from "The Daily Show," NPR, and "The Week" magazine
a great group of friends
Farmer's Market
my laptop
a little bit o' luck
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about what project I'm working on next or what I'm currently working on.
Preparing myself for meeting that special someone and raising a family, not immediately, but in the not-too-distant future.
On a typical Friday night I am
I treat a Friday like any other available night: If I have tickets to a show or panel discussion, or just a drink with friends, or whatever is at my disposal. Just because it's Friday doesn't mean there's more or less to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cry at "Field of Dreams" and Joan Collins' "Send in the Clowns." If that makes me less of a man, so be it, dammit!
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 30–40

  • Who are single

You should message me if
You're ready to go on your last first date and are beginning to consider settling down and you think we'd be a nice match.
Something in my profile struck a chord with you... or any of my photos.
I try to be open about meeting new people, but there are some qualities I am more drawn to than others. So please excuse me if I do not respond. Oh, and please don't be flakey. I admire straight-forwardness.
