• Losing Weight - but have a great energy level for a 51 yo. (To help lose weight I walk between 3 1/2 and 7 miles a day. (Update: I am down to a 75 pound weight loss and tonight I actually started running instead of walking. It's a block at a time but it's real running. I've also started counseling a few friends with their weight-loss and food management.)

Sometimes (it's got to be cool and breezy!!) I'll supplement that with some tennis. It is absolutely remarkable, even surreal, how the food cravings disappear when you severely reduce the addictive foods from your diet. For the first time in my life I have no problem not eating at night. That's a big deal.)

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Human touch, cats, 8 hrs. sleep, Fall, bacon, garlic, the feeling of belonging, al dente kissing, hot showers on cold and dark days (and candles if we match), naps, work, running… And dare say it, broccoli. My least favorite vegetable has now finally become my favorite. That's some effective behavioral change right there.

I often feel entitled and I feel liberated knowing it because I can turn it off when I see it. Men aren't entitled to sex (for example).

I'm also not a tattoo fan. Nor fan of the law of attraction or any other fantasy philosophy that's not grounded in reality. I am severely for personal improvement but if it doesn't have a great track record you shouldn't invest your time, effort, and money in it.
