My self-summary

First of all, can I just say that I loathe self-summaries. How can you possibly sum up and portray the complete picture of a person in a few introductory sentences, let alone THREE WORDS!?

I suppose we just have to pick something to focus on and hope that it will appeal to someone out there.

As I believe that there is way more to me than just a few sentences of text, I'm not going to churn out a self-summary; you can just get an idea of the type of person from the rest of my profile.

And then, take it or leave it. :)

What I'm doing with my life

As of right NOW, not that much.

I work, I go home, sleep, eat, internet, hang out. Repeat.

HOWEVER, I have just recently moved down from Brisbane on my own after deciding university was a whole load of bullcrap if you've never been out of the education system and experienced the "real world" (yes, I went to QUT) for yourself.

To put it bluntly, I'm a uni dropout... crapload of good a top uni entrance score did for me...

So, out on my own for 18 months or so... THEN back to uni in Brisbane and one day I'm going to conquer [one little corner of] the world!

Either that or devote my life to helping people... depending on what mood I'm in.

OR, I'm down with marrying a rich dude or HELL, even upperclass prostitution if I must. Haha.

I'm really good at

- Forgetting things: I have a knack for losing my train of thought midsentence and at other inappropriate times.

- Cleaning: I would say I'm rather good at it, though I'm told it's not the way to a man's heart... Apparently cooking is... one thing which I CAN'T do... unless you want soy milk and maple syrup in your spaghetti.

- Analysing shit: Bor-ing.

- Pretending I care when I don't: "oh really?" "oh okay" "that's cool" "most interesting" etc. etc.

- Sounding sarcastic when I genuinely care: Must come with being a social retard..

- Repaying those who treat me well, tenfold: Eye for and eye?

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

- That I'm short.

- I don't sound like a FOB (mostly because I'm NOT!)

- I'm socially retarded and am nothing like I am online.

Then we get to the less obvious but still relatively noticeable:

- I'm a bit of a smartarse.

- I speak bluntly at times.

- I'm a generally sarcastic individual when I'm not engaging in polite conversation.

- Stories about something that happened the other day and generally lead to nowhere are my specialty.

And finally... people always seem to notice that:

- I'm never quite what they expected me to be like.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The only book that keeps coming to mind is 'Mists of Avalon' by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It's one of those rewrites of King Arthur from a Celtic perspective. Mmm nerdy... just how I like it.

I'm a music trashbag. I like hip-hop, techno, metal, rock, country, old school stuff, classical and hardcore trash-pop. I like the Pussycat Dolls and listen to Nikki Webster, if that gives you an indication of what kind of junk I can listen to.

Love eating.. but not a fan of fancy foods. Just doesn't do it for my tastebuds for some reason. I like the simple cultural foods.

The six things I could never do without

1. So perhaps LIPBALM shouldn't be at the top of my list... but you don't seriously want to hear about all the air, water and food I couldn't do without, right??

And I seriously do not leave the house without taking lipbalm.

2. My imagination. Oh the places I go and the things I do in there...

3. Retarded iPod dancing in front of a mirror in the privacy of your own room. It's the only thing that can pull me out of a dodgey mood.

4. Learning. If you're not progressing, you're falling behind in the world.

5. Deodorant. I always carry some around with me. Not for myself coz I smell awesome, but to spray other people with. :D

6.

I'll come back to this.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

When I was a kid, I used to shove icecubes up my arse.
