I just moved to Montrose from Fort Collins to pursue an interesting and challenging job in a field that I love. I have been working this job and traveling to Ft Collins once a week to complete my Masters Thesis at CSU since February, and haven't gotten to meet many people on the west slope. I would like to get to know some new people out here and perhaps find an interesting girl to date.

I try to live a pretty active lifestyle, and love to spend time in the outdoors. Camping, hiking, and fishing are big parts of my life, and I try to spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors. I feel very lucky that my new job allows me to spend alot of time outside!

I also really enjoy music, and am a (admittedly mediocre) self-taught bass and guitar player. I prefer blues, folk, punk and classic rock, but am open to all sorts of music. Its pretty amazing the diversity of music that people have developed. I am hoping to check out a fair bit of live music this summer, and also would like to meet some new people to play music with (I am missing the guys I played with in Ft. Collins).

confident and sometimes a bit outspoken. I am told that I am a
pretty funny guy, and have been described as jovial.

I enjoy reading alot (I think it is, sadly, a dying form of entertainment). I can't fall asleep without reading first, and I read at least a few hundred pages a week. I usually read fiction. I enjoy a book that will take me away, since I read alot of heavy material for my research, something that twists my imagination around is great in my free time. I like most movies and tv shows. I prefer drama and comedy. I can be pretty picky about music, but like classic rock, blues, folk, older country, jazz and alternative rock. It has to have some soul...without that human emotion, whats the point?
