Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I'm Brian :)
I live in West Seattle and graduated from WSU in 2010. I have one
of those adult, full-time jobs. This means I'm basically a grandpa
and enjoy going to bed at 9:00PM some nights. I have no regrets
I'm smart, nerdy, quirky, athletic, friendly, empathetic, and
occasionally witty. I think loving people and being positive are
really important and I'm a huge fan of equality (gender, marriage,
race, etc). Also sarcastic, and that gets me in trouble on occasion
because I apparently lack the ability to change the tone of my
voice and make it apparent that I'm actually not serious about the
ridiculous statement. That said my sense of humor is A+ according
to me, though that may be a biased opinion.
I like passionate people who can teach me something new. Or curious
people who want to try something new and want to bring me
I also actually like online dating. So that's different. It's
allowed me to meet people I'd have never met in real life. And I
can't complain about that.
If you want to attempt to boil my personality down into a few
paragraphs, you could probably look up an INFJ. Those it's probably
only 75% accurate. The OkCupid personality though? Not exactly the
And I use emoticons when I text way too much. It's a problem.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a nice, boring, stable job working for an HR department. I
only say boring because I'm not a professional sky diver or stunt
man, I actually love my job.
Outside of work I've been playing in a basketball league at least
once a week each and try to stay active. I'm also bit of a home
body so lazy nights and lounging around watching Netflix, playing
video games, reading a book, etc. can be just as fantastic as a
night out at a show (Showbox Market? Probably my favorite spot in
Seattle), Mariners game, or karaoke at a bar with my best friends
(Some combo of Backstreet Boys or Limp Bizkit may be a go-to).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Self awareness
- Tequila shots!
- Not being afraid of heights
- Public speaking
- Cooking (may be relative to my friends, but I can most definitely
make a meal)
- Browsing Netflix without actually picking anything to watch
- Comfortably talking about any subject that I probably shouldn't
be talking about. They may be off limits on a first date normally
but religion, politics, sex, OkCupid dates, etc. all fascinate me.
If you can teach me something new I'll probably fall head over
heels for you.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably the overwhelming aura of awesome. This most likely comes
from one of my friends standing next to me.
On the right day, in the right light it might be my eyes because
they can occasionally go from brown to orange. So that is
Or that my humor/jokes are generally deadpan and I may seem to
seriously think some absolutely ridiculous and silly concept (It's
probably a joke. Probably...). So if I say something rude or just
outright ridiculous it's highly likely it was just a terrible

These could all go on forever, so I'll just go with what I've read,
seen, listened too, eaten, etc. most recently and whatever else
jumps to my head.

American Gods, Ender's Game, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The
Road, The Gunslinger, The Way of Kings, Game of Thrones.
Podcasts (adding a new category because I love them!)
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History or Common Sense, Professor Blastoff,
Invisibilia, Grantland Sports Network, and a variety of NBA,
Mariners, MLB, shows as well.
80s John Carpenter movies
Fast and the Furious (guilty pleasure)
All the movies. More or less. Minus the bad ones. I'm open
What I'm watching right now?
What will I always love?
Arrested Development. Always.
LOST had me captivated the whole way through.
Psych: The character Gus would probably be my favorite person ever
if he was real.
Mumford and Sons
J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar
My Chemical Romance
Katy Perry (guilty pleasure again? How many times can I use this
excuse to cover my questionable tastes)
Honestly, any type of music if the artist is talented.
Spicy is always great!
Mexican is probably my go to favorite though I'm open to a
I'm definitely supportive of the vegan/vegetarian life style too.
Although I don't practice it myself I'd tag along for a vegan
calzone if it is offered :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This list is perfect and yours is wrong if it's not exactly the
1. Dogs (I don't own one yet, but I'd probably just want to give up
if they disappeared from the world)
2. Cinnamon Chip bread from Great Harvest that I discovered last
week and may have polished off a whole loaf in way to short of a
2. Friends. Because I have the best ones in the world :)
3. Beaches and the possibility of visiting one
4. Physical affection. Hugs to sex. All of it fucking rocks.
4. Seattle. This city is amazing.
4. This microfleece blanket I bought recently. It's heaven.
5. Pizza. Duh.
6. Travel. Let's runaway to Europe or Australia or anywhere?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to further support equality. I qualify as a supporter of
marriage equality, feminism, sex positivity, etc. Bigotry sucks.
I'd rather not be around that in my life and I happen to be in the
lucky white, American male group that doesn't really have to deal
with the negative affects of it. I'd love for everyone to be on
that same playing field.
Also, how to rule the world and whether it's worth putting in the
effort for all the responsibility it will include.
Or when I can get home from work to finish off the book that I've
just passed the hook in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Enjoying that I don't have to work on Saturday! Trying to go out in
downtown Seattle is a popular choice, though sometimes just
relaxing with some good drinks, a pizza, and having an impromptu
movie marathon is also super great.
Saturday night is usually my go to night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I kind of want a white pug so I can slap a blue collar on him and
name him Artoo (after R2-D2).
I have a pretty awful love for terribly cheesy things (see
aforementioned: 80s action movies, "professional" wrestling, and
I think the world could use a more positive outlook on sex
(although growing up conservative may have just made this my own
personal world experience). A lot of the time I like talking about
or thinking about sex and I think that's a perfectly fine thing. It
took me awhile to understand the concept of a "sex positive"
movement, but I think I finally get it and support it. Just be safe
people ;) and on that note, I'd love to meet someone and have an
actual relationship, but for someone who wants sex on it's own,
than I happily support you on that choice.
Also, if you include the words sassy or feisty in your profile to
describe yourself, I probably fell head over heels for you already.
Sorry, but not sorry.
You should message me if

you think we should get a drink or actually meet up. I'm more fun
You want to talk about travel! I have some decent stories to share.
I'd be happy to trade.
Or if you identify as feminist, cuss like a sailor, and are sassy
as hell... Well yes. Please message me as soon as possible. Thank
