My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I'm Brian :)

I'm a Seattle-ite traveling to Europe from Sept. 1 to 19! So... Apologies for slow responses! I'll be in Ireland, Berlin, and Prague :)

I'm a WSU graduate and currently live in West Seattle and love it. I have a super amazing rooftop view of the sound and the city that I'd be happy to seduce you with ;)

In general I'm an open minded and a huge supporter of equality (gender, sexuality, race, etc). I'll be the last person to judge someone for anything that doesn't hurt another person. Happiness in general is probably the thing I try to pursue most and I'd same I'm remarkably good at it.

If you like personality tests I'm generally an INFJ.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a nice, boring, stable job working for an HR department. I only say boring because I'm not a professional sky diver or stunt man, I actually love my job.

Outside of work I've been playing in a basketball league at least once a week each and try to stay active. I'm also a huge fan of laziness and lounging around watching Netflix, playing video games, reading a book, etc.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Picking up and learning new things
Adapting to new situations/people
Sports to some extent
Tequila shots!
Browsing Netflix without actually picking anything to watch

Comfortably talking about any subject. They may be off limits on a first date normally but religion, politics, etc. all fascinate me still. If you can teach me something new I'll probably fall head over heels for you instantly.

Making a snuggie look good.
The first things people usually notice about me

Probably the overwhelming aura of awesome. This most likely comes from one of my friends standing next to me.

On the right day, in the right light it might be my eyes because they can occasionally go from brown to orange. So that is nifty.

That or my butt, right? :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

These could all go on forever, so I'll just go with what I've read, seen, listened too, eaten, etc. most recently and whatever else jumps to my head.

A Song of Fire and Ice (finished through book three!), Horns, The Kingkiller Chronicles, Wool, Choke, Locke and Key, American Gods, Ender's Game, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Road, The Gunslinger, Freakanomics

Podcasts (adding a new category because I love them!)
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History or Common Sense, Professor Blastoff, The Young Turks, Grantland Sports Network, and a variety of NBA, Mariners, MLB, shows as well.

Star Wars, Pacific Rim, Gravity, Fast and Furious 6 (Guilty pleasure), Almost Famous, Big Trouble in Little China, Road House, Garden State, Up, The Dark Knight, Anchorman, Bridesmaids

Derek (This is a must see... Heart warming and hilarious. Find it on Netflix!), Parks and Rec, Louie, Arrested Development, LOST, Modern Family, Psych.

Mumford and Sons, Muse, Bleachers, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Arcade Fire, Justin Timberlake, Lumineers, Kid Cudi, Outkast, Temper Trap, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, My Chemical Romance, Miles Davis, Imagine Dragons, Silversun Pickups, Coldplay, Neon Trees, Middle Class Rut, Jane's Addiction, Alt-J, Alkaline Trio, Katy Perry (guilty pleasures on the last two), Fun, Walk the Moon, and many more I'm surely forgetting. You should absolutely tell me more bands to check out!

Food: Spicy is always great! Mexican is probably my go to favorite though I'm open to a lot. I'm definitely supportive of the vegan/vegetarian life style too. Although I don't practice it myself I'd tag along for a vegan calzone if it is offered :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
It took a long time, but this list is perfect. Obviously.

IPAs or a good wine
My bed and a ton of blankets
Dogs to talk to and wish I owned
My bamboo plant, Gregory.
Physical affection! Hugs, cuddling, hand holding, kissing, etc. Even that little bit of contact between knees when sitting next to someone you have a crush on is pretty amazing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to further support equality. I qualify as a supporter of marriage equality, feminism, sex positivity, etc. Bigotry sucks. I'd rather not be around that in my life and I happen to be in the lucky white, American male group that doesn't really have to deal with it. I'd love for everyone to be on that same playing field.

Also, how to rule the world and whether it's worth putting in the effort for all the responsibility it will include.

I also love thinking about travel, the universe, music, art, science, philosophy, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Enjoying that I don't have to work on Saturday! Trying to go out in downtown Seattle is a popular choice, though sometimes just relaxing with some good drinks, a pizza, and having an impromptu movie marathon is also super great.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I think the world could use a more positive outlook on sex. A lot of the time I like talking about or thinking about sex and I think that's a perfectly fine thing. It took me awhile to understand the concept of a "sex positive" movement, but I think I finally get it and support it. Just be safe people ;) and on that note, I'd love to meet someone and have an actual relationship, but sometimes sex on it's own can be fun as long as all the intention was clear up front.

You absolutely want to. I'll generally reply to any message with a little effort.

And you should message me back when I message you because I'm awesome and it will be worth your time ;) let's get a drink or actually meet up too! It's more fun in person.
