Smiling. Laughing. Socializing. Learning. Exploring. and most of all, Learning! I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I'm open-minded and extroverted. And I take things as it goes. I'm a very ambitious person and I have a great deal of many goals, such as owning a restaurant, writing and publishing a book, creating science and music/art scholarships for under served high school students, running a full marathon, and becoming a triathlete!

Although I am a science nerd and love scifi, I really appreciate art, music, and the liberal arts in general!

Sapolsky explains it best: "I love science, and it pains me to think that so many are terrified of the subject or feel that choosing science means you cannot also choose compassion, or the arts, or be awed by nature. Science is not meant to cure us of mystery, but to reinvent and reinvigorate it."

I just finished my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. I am currently a Research Technician in a laboratory. My research focuses on understanding how Mycobacterium tuberculosis is pathogenic. I'm planning to be a research tech for two years and then head off to pursue a PhD in either Cancer Biology or Infectious Diseases. I'm also starting to do standup comedy which has become a fun side hobby!

....hmm making things with my hands! I love to cook all types of cuisines! And I love making and building crafty things!
I'm also really good at pipetting small volumes of liquids!

I suppose my personality? I'm a very approachable and sociable person and I love meeting new people and making friends!

But, some of the things I think about is what I should learn to do next. I like learning new things, so I'm always up for stepping out of my comfort zone. Next on the list for what I want to do is go skydiving, hang gliding, horseback riding, pilot an plane, just to name a few.

Either hanging with my friends, watching a movie, reading a book, or doing something outdoorsy!
