My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a little sentimental, a little smart-ass. Creative but practical. Affectionate but not clingy. Largely well-behaved, but not afraid of looking like a dork in public.

I would rather spend my spare cash on good food, good drink, travel, and other experiences than stuff, although I admit I love my iGadgets and have a weakness for flea market finds. I ditched my car years ago to get around on foot, bus, and Zipcar, and after signing up for scooter-sharing a couple of weeks ago, I'm totally in love with zipping around on two electric wheels.

I love San Francisco. I moved here in 1999 and have watched it boom and bust and boom again, and I'm not always thrilled with what I see, but I'm not sure I could be happier anywhere else.

I'm looking for something long-term with someone fantastic who thinks I'm fantastic, too. I don't expect you to waste hours in a bookstore with me, but I'll appreciate a ride home when I come out with a heavy bag. I won't join you running a marathon or riding a century, but I will meet you at the finish line with an enthusiastic cheer. It would be boring if we were exactly alike, but it's important that we click.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I write for both money and fun. When I'm not mauling my keyboard, I'm taking pictures, trying to improve my little corner of the world, and drinking a lot of coffee.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing and drinking coffee, sometimes even at the same time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm short. It's sort of unmissable!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm always reading something. I'm about halfway through a fantastic book about British spies during the Cold War that reads like fiction, even though it's absolutely true.

My favorite movie of all time is Casablanca. I just binge-watched the entire Marvel movie universe to date. I'm looking forward to seeing The Imitation Game.

I'm not a big TV watcher but I'm a huge Sherlock fan.

If you looked at the music on my phone, you'd swear three or four different people share it. Right now I'm listening a lot to Bastille, Aimee Mann, the Shins, and a bunch of '80s New Wave, but that could change at any minute.

I'm an omnivore. Spicy? Yes. Meat? Yes. Raw foods? Sure, why not. I hear insects are crunchy and delicious. Just don't ask me to eat (shudder) runny egg yolks.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
something to write on/with
my favorite pair of jeans
backup drive (learn from my mistakes, people!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My next cup of coffee.
What exactly OKCupid thinks makes people my "enemy."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably either having a cocktail with friends or browsing at Green Apple. Wouldn't it be great if bookstores had cocktail nights?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm happily childless by choice.

You're smart, sexy, funny, kind, responsible, and won't get between me and my coffee.

I can get to your place without spending all day doing it. (If you're way out in the 'burbs or in another city completely, we're probably not a good match.)
