My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm originally from the Midwest. I've been in NYC since I was 19 but I'm still essentially Midwestern: friendly, plain-spoken, unpretentious, skeptical. I work hard; I'm successful. I've lived about four lives already. I like kids and pets, but at this point I'm glad I am not the primary caregiver for any.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing, listening to music, eating, exercising, sleeping. Hanging out with people, reading, looking at art, taking pictures with the phone, going to the pool, the beach, sitting on the roof, watching fireworks (seem to be a lot of them these days). More writing. Not cooking as much as I used to because a) there are so many people in NY devoting themselves to it - might as well enjoy their talents b) have used it in the past to procrastinate.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sitting in front of a computer for many, many hours a day. Also turns out that most contemporary creative pursuits demand this skill. Lucky me!

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
never is stupid. but I do value my friends and family, a good night's sleep, a good internet connection, living in NY (but next to a big park and a bike ride away from the waterfront and pools and a subway ride away from the beach), my education, and having a purpose in life

NOTE: I used to send thank yous to people who messaged me because I felt bad after reading all these "why can't people just reply??" profiles. However, I am not doing that anymore after receiving some really nasty and menacing responses. If I don't reply, it means I'm not interested. Sorry about that.
