My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I like to think I am a big guy with a big heart. I try to stay down to earth, and well rooted in reality. My opinions can sometimes be strong, but never so strong that I won't listen to yours...

My favorite sweatshirt says a lot about me, it proudly proclaims that I am "Travelling 33 RPM in an iPod World" :) And I actually have to explain to some people what 33 RPM is... :P
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am living it the best I can, working with plan B, when plan A doesn't happen. (does plan A ever happen?) And just generally trying to be happy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, and being a calming influance on people when problems arise. Making costumes and sewing
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height! I stand 6'5" tall, that makes me kind of hard to miss...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read quite a bit, and have a large library. I read lots of science fiction, I'm big on the 'classic authors; Clarke, Asimov, Heinlein, but also very much enjoy Connie Willis, and Simon Hawke, and am a huge fan of Douglas Adams, I enjoy some fantasy, but prefer to keep it lighter/comic such as The Myth series. A lot of my non fiction is historical in nature, or pop culture related.
My taste in movies is much like my taste in books, science fiction and fantasy tend to top the list, but I can generally enjoy a good action flick. Given a choice I would rather watch a good thriller/suspense movie then I would a blood and guts horror flick. All of that being said some of my most watched movies are "The Perks of Being A Wallflower", "The Breakfast Club", and "Ordinary People".
I don't watch much TV these days, but I do watch and enjoy Doctor Who (old and new), Torchwood, The Walking Dead, Being Human (the original British version).
With music I am a little all over the place, Jethro Tull is my number one band, but Klaatu ranks up there as well. I enjoy some classical, lots of folk music - Irish, Scotish, English groups like Great Big Sea, or Fairport Convention. When CD's hit the scene I never got rid of my turntable and still proudly own some 550 albums!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
in no particular order:
my books, my freinds, my dog, my cottage (well I likely could live without it, but I certainly don't want to try!)
Ok, so that is only 4, I'll have to think a bit more to find 6...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, The Universe and Everything...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm at home or the cottage depending on the season, not doing much of anything.

If you find any of this interesting and would like to say "hi"
if you can name all 11 actors that have played the Doctor... :P
(bonus points if you can name the up coming 12th Doctor)
you have even heard of jethro Tull before!
(trivia bonous if you know where the name comes from)
